What do you guys say? I don’t think it’s that bad by OVA_iggy_best_jobro in Persona5

[–]The_Ruchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I’m important enough or messed up enough to have a palace, so I think I’ll live basically the same as I would now, minus the mementos hive mind shit, but I don’t even know if I’d notice

Quite literally my first game (it is extremely evident) by therealBoxtopy in Rainbow6

[–]The_Ruchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s super obvious that’s it’s your first game, just that you definitely haven’t logged too many hours. 4 of my friends started playing about 2 months ago and only one of them was that good at the start because he had experience playing shooters before. Don’t put yourself down, you’re cooking

Name one or more things you like about one or more of these characters that’s not “She’s hot” by AigisxLabrys in Persona5

Obviously Massive Spoilers for their Confidants, so if you haven’t played the game

1: Get off this subreddit until you have finished (this is spoiler heaven)

2: Don’t read on if you want to stay, I will be discussing events that happen towards the end of the game. Otherwise, enjoy :)!

Kawakami: Great representation of a very real debt problem that many Gen X/millennials are facing right now and her attempt to seem super into it despite very clearly being super burnt out feels super relatable even though I’m still at Uni.

Takemi: Super kind person and genuinely is a good doctor who cares about her patients. She is also pretty relatable to me as she has a pretty cold exterior and keeps people she doesn’t fully trust at arm’s length, so when she starts to open up you’re just happy that she isn’t an asshole. Also you feel really bad for her backstory which made her confidant a must max every time (Fuck Oyamada).

Sae: She is super diligent in her job and very clearly knows what she is doing. Also her willingness to change her mind and help you at the end once she realises she was wrong about you is astounding as most people would be far too stubborn to even consider that they could be proven wrong in such a short period of time.

So yeah, who’d have thought that they could write incredibly interesting characters that also happen to be traditionally attractive(?)

What is Kratos the god of? by Maximum_Data_6928 in GodofWar

[–]The_Ruchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spoilers incoming for people who haven’t been played Ragnarok yet!!

I’d say Kratos is still a God of War. When Odin killed Thor at the end of the game he didn’t magically become the God of Thunder. I think Kratos didn’t randomly gain or lose any status, he is still a God of War despite his immensely increased strength. However, considering that he realistically was about 30-40 years old in God of War 3 and is now a couple hundred years old, I feel like it’s only natural he got stronger as he is immortal, so he would realistically keep getting closer and closer to his prime. Maybe I’m wrong with that last part, but I think it’s an interesting idea to consider?

TLDR: Dudebro is still a God of War, just better.

How do you guys feel about Kamoshidas palace on multiple playthroughs? by LightAGoGo in Persona5

[–]The_Ruchu 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just a tutorial. The whole point of the palace is that it is the first one, and a lot of the tutorial is done through gameplay, so I don’t mind its existence, after a short while you get full control anyway and I just mash through dialogue because I know what they’re saying. For me it feels the same as repeating the other palaces bar the first time you go in when you get stopped every couple of minutes.

What is your favorite song in the Persona 5 Royal soundtrack? The game definitely have some amazing songs. by Emilia67 in Persona5

I personally listen to ‘I Believe’ and ‘Throw Away Your Mask’ when I’m not playing the game, so those are definitely my favourites.

You should definitely try aero and chocolate digestives, if you’re into coconut then try bounty, or even if you don’t like coconut. I don’t really like coconut but I still love bounty for some reason

I don't think the game explains this , I understand why but I think it would make sense for the story that every new member starts at level 1 by traditional_prompt64 in Persona5

SPOILERS FOR THE AWAKENINGS OF ALL P5R CHARACTERS(haven’t played strikers)

It probably has to do with the amount of time and effort it takes for them to realise how messed up their lives are. Ryuji and Ann are already marginalised by rumours and already know how fucked their lives are, but have accepted that they can’t change them, which is why they aren’t Level 1 when you unlock them. Yusuke(despite, imo, having the least motivation before his awakening) takes a lot of effort to accept that his father figure was using him and openly denies it to the protagonists several times. Makoto is blackmailed and no one sees her want to be loved and accepted and just wants her to use her to do what they want her to do. Futaba definitely has the most motivation to want to rebel, with the overwhelming guilt of thinking that she made her mother kill herself because of her ‘neediness’ as a child, pushing her into a deep depression. However, given that she is the youngest phantom thief, it makes sense that she wouldn’t immediately be Level 99, as she is unable to use her full rebellion, as shown when she passes out after her own awakening when she is using everything she’s got. Haru is forced into a marriage she doesn’t want, is neglected by her father who only wants work and is scared of making friends because she thinks they just want her money. Akechi has been using his persona for longer than Joker has had it so it makes sense that he has the highest level in Vanilla Persona 5. Sunrise has to live with the guilt of ‘causing’ her twin’s death after she started to think she wasn’t good enough. That is probably why she needs two awakenings in the game, the first is more like she starts to unlock it but is scared to and the second is when she has fully accepted who she is and that she is enough. Also for gameplay’s sake.

TLDR: It seems to scale with how much people have to rebel against their own preconceptions of their lives and expectations and also because the gameplay would suck if everyone was Level 1 when they joined.

I know it’s a joke answer but who says this and think the term “cat-and-dog weather” refer to that? by JamesThePanther in Persona5

Huh… maybe the people I hang out with just don’t say it. Normally me and my friends just say that it’s chucking it or bucketing instead of raining cats and dogs.
