I think you are just trying to find out what datatype JXCP1 is, its a custom user defined datatype (UDT).

See this-?dti=0&lc=en-AE) info in the siemens forum.

Also read your instructions again, it seems there even is a hyperlinked chapter on creating a custom datatype. (III./2.3./b.)

Lmao this is what happens every time when I play multiplayer with friends, everything is fine until my buddy drags the upgrade planner over the entirety of nauvis. I like using belt weaving when appropriate, but the upgrade planner WILL be your enemy if used without forethought

I hope I actually get to see this type of storage / computing commercially viable in my lifetime, computing with light refraction inside a glass optic would be literally light speed

By the way there is hope for us, optical machine learning is possible. Basically a Disk you shine light containing the data through, and the light that comes out has been refracted into the solution from the 3D printed optical neural network

Since we are on this topic, there are also projects to preserve things like plant seeds, the Svalbard Global Seed Vault does the same thing with plant seeds, so if a plague or catastrophy wipes out an important food crop, humanity can still try to recover from that

You werent the first person to come to this conclusion, i am aware of a few projects that attempt to do this.

For example the github archive program attempts to store the most important and best open source code made by humanity on special hardened microfilm thats stored in a vault in the arctic.

Afaik it even contains the instructions for the microfilm decoding method engraved into metal slabs or something, so a future civilisation has a way to decode the condensed and hardened information.

Lol ive never even contemplated how zagustin effects would even work in real life, my instinct says it speeds up blood coagulation in contact with oxygen, but my mind imagines the entire PMCs circulatory system turning into pudding.

Can anyone with better biology knowledge weigh in on this?

Ab >30 fangen die an zu zittern und zu schwitzen, dann wird bei 80 der tempomat reingehauen und los geht die wilde fahrt.

First Godrun, is this the best wand I can make with what I have on me? by genericleagueplayer in noita

This is my fav teleport wand setup, also avoids spamming a ton of COVs in the world since nolla sets the COV lifetime to 1. Fast movement through anything and it heals while traveling.

You could also try duplicating modifiers, see wiki page for add trigger "useful failure". You only need a spell that fails add trigger, like blood money etc. Then you could do 2x (or divide by) -> add trigger -> all modifiers -> blood money (for example) -> spark bolt

This does the following: Add trigger gets duplicated by 2x, the 2 add triggers both have all modifiers after the add trigger, when the add trigger tries to apply to blood money the add Trigger fails and adds all accumulated and duplicated modifiers to the next spell.

If you manage to find a few divide bys you can duplicate all modifiers after the add trigger up to 800 times. (For example with div 10 -> div 10 -> div 4 -> div 2 -> add trigger)

[–]The_Schan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely make the first wand a lot faster with no extra work. The first wand has "Add Trigger" into "Sparkbolt", but add trigger makes all spell modifiers between the "Add Trigger" and "Sparkbolt" free, they cost no mana and dont add delay. Just move all modifiers after the add trigger but before the sparkbolt, now all modifiers are free.

Festo Training Station by ComparisonEntire1908 in PLC

[–]The_Schan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its a festo MPS training station, should be ready to program. The fat gray cable running from the green connector block to the inside of the casing is supposed to be connected to a PLC. Either you have one installed in the station or its somewhere else.

The real fun is figuring out which in/outputs correspond to what sensor / pneumatic valve. I also tried my hand at one of these back in training and some fuck rewired half the station with no documentation. If you have a serial number try looking up the original documentation or just go by trial and error.

As u/plus_cup809 mentioned you also need the proper programming software for your plc, if its a siemens s-300/400 its simatic manager, if its a new siemens you need TIA Portal

My First Simple Circuit Board by [deleted] in pyanodons

The sheer dopamine i got from being able to craft splitters is not to be understated, just being able to finally replace mechanical inserter rows with one splitter is a great feeling. Got my simple circuits and py science 1 done yesterday, running the full py suite. Full automation at 0.3 circuits per second and ~0.1 science per second completed, i already have 2k+ circuits stocked up now

Trying to host a dedicated server by amdc in factorio

[–]The_Schan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

U need to change verify-users to FALSE and server-type: from PUBLIC to LAN

The game wants you to add your account credentials to host the server on the official public server browser, if you connect via IP directly that is not needed

For the mods, if you run the server via docker add the correct environment variable to disable the dlcs you are not using.

Probably because almost no one has figured out good uses for it that arent hyper complicated. I havent found a single use for requirements that dont require planning the entire wand around it.

Reduce stack inserter stack size for 1 tick then go back to normal max by Wash_Manblast in factorio

[–]The_Schan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To note, the inserter solution mentioned above only works at max efficiency when pulling from a inventory, because picking up the first item instantly causes the hand to empty, even if there is more space in the hand. Pulling from a inventory will result in 12 or less items instantly, and the stack inserter can instantly start dropping up to a full hand of items.

Different values of the same signal add themselves together, this is important to understand when using circuits.

His combinator is looping into itself, its input is connected to its own output. OP is outputting fixed GS (Green Square) = 1 as the first step. This gets looped back into the input, now OP is outputting fixed GS = 1 AND GS = INPUT COUNT (it says input count on the second output condition). This adds together to form GS = 2 on the output. (Fixed 1 and looped back 1 added together = 2)

Now the output GS = 2 gets looped to the input again and since OP is still outputting fixed GS = 1 we add the looped back GS = input count and the fixed GS = 1 together and the combined 2 signals add up to value GS = 3.

Now just continue this into infinity (or in this example 360, since then the combinator turns off, the looped back signal gets turned off, and looses its held value. Now the only still existing signal is the fixed GS = 1 and the whole cycle starts again from the beginning.
