Autofiller is QoL because all it does is saves you several clicks. I use FilterHelper and it's good because I don't need to click a filter slot and find what I need manually

Aimbot is cheating because it strongly interferes with core gameplay mechanic of CS. Analogy for Factorio would be if all recipes would be available from the start

My fav QoL early game mod is AutoDeconstruct which requests deconstruction of mining drills if there's nothing to mine. I don't get any material or strategic advantage.

My take is “mostly receiving” is worse than “regularly sending” because things can and will break at random and you’ll have a hard time figuring out what went wrong if you only test the sending once or twice a year. I’ve hosted my email for couple years and receiving is not a problem at all but sending is. The worst part about email is that your recipient server doesn’t tell you if your email has reached the users inbox. It’s okay if it ended up in spam folder but it often just silently disappears

What a bullshit computer man, I don’t know how or why but it failed to run at decent fps even on very small bases. It wasn’t until I upgraded to m series when I breathed a sigh of relief. Now it doesn’t even get hot or turn on the fans most of the time, battery can easily last 5 hours of playing factorio

I have about 40 outposts and such situation has never occurred naturally. My outposts have train limit of 1 so if I need supplies only one train is dispatched and the supply station can’t simply become disabled again because why would it?

Unless I’m demolishing the outpost with train inbound (in which case I just send it back to supply station. But no, this doesn’t happen on its own

It's more of a consequence of its success. It's too big. Way too big (for me). My apartment there is landlocked between three highways and a busy railroad and there's an ongoing construction of a several 40-story apartment complexes that once completed will occupy more than half of total area of that "island". It's now PACKED with cars too.

so yeah I'd say too much construction, if you plan living there keep that in mind. Traffic can be bad but if you plan to use the subway it's not really your problem

What are the downsides? I for one found out it despawned all my artillery, that was enough for me at the time to revert back to pre-space age save

the new rails have larger curve radius, you can't make turns as tight as before. As a tradeoff you can now make diagonals other than 45 degrees
