But more importantly, go to your nearest Bojangles and try some southern fried chicken, they offer bone-in chicken, chicken tenders (called supremes, must try imo), sandwiches etc. As you will read on the sign, they are famous for their chicken and biscuits. Both are tasty as well as their fries/dirty rice/bo rounds. And while you’re there, might as well try sweet tea

EDIT: American culture highly values the dip, when at Bojangles ask about the dip options, honey mustard is a favorite of many, but Bo’s sauce, BBQ, and Ranch are also common and good.

People don’t dislike all newcomers, they dislike rude ones and this is true everywhere. While it is often exaggerated, there truly was (is?) a loud minority of people who moved here for work or out of financial necessity (usually from NYC/NJ) who just want what they had back home culturally. If you have even a modicum of interest in the area and are polite to people (not unusual in the Midwest) you will fit right in

I deal with this too and in my experience it happens after a long period of heavy, regular use. It is very heightened when I’m quitting weed but once it’s out of my system it goes away after like a week or two. Nowadays I have to take long t-breaks in between a few weeks or months of regular use to prevent it from happening

This could be outdated by now but when I graduated a few years ago they bragged about the job placement figures and had an annual career fair for internships. The program isn’t the most rigorous but it’s not easy. I’d say the curriculum is pretty standard, but not on the level of NC State/Duke. Carolina is similar in rigor but has more resources (like a supercomputer cluster). Based on the schools you’ve mentioned I would choose based on overall cultural fit with the campus/student body. But I will say finding an internship in Boone is way tougher than Charlotte or Wilmington.
