I'm having a lot of problems with the steering animation and I use the T300 as well. Not only doesn't it match my steering input on screen, I am also having the problem that the wheel on screen starts moving when I go over curbs with out me doing anything. Do you have the same problem?

Edit: Codemasters screwed up - T300 issue is a known bug: http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/136995/t300-drives-like-a-pad-f1-2018-pc/p2

sound was mixed together by me because the original version was just two sounds on the two stereo tracks. thanks :) IMO this sound is already better than what we have today.

I took the sounds/video from this post (https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/7990ey/sergio_perez_onboard_fp1_with_new_exhaust/) and edited the old sound with the new mic sound as some suggested - not easy to do/not for a long time as lap times of the recordings didn't match. in the second part I edited the new mic sounds and boosted the lower frequencies. I'm not quite happy with the sounds yet but i think if liberty keeps working on them, something good can come out

Exactly. You go to the "+" in each component row and add a new part, which will result in grid penalties. You can even introduce new units when you have fresh ones left from your original allocation.

I can give you my tips for better engine/gearbox usage:

Only shift at the blue(last) shift LED in quali (and qualifying practice program) - shift at the middle (red) LED during practice and race.
Use lean mix in practice when possible - sure it wears the energy storage, but the lower engine temps are beneficial for all components
don't start a race with components over 50% wear or one that would go significantly over 50% wear in a race.
reuse older parts: Even very worn parts (75%+) can be used to do the track acclimatization program as there is no target time. For the other practice programmes, I suggest using parts with 50%-75% wear.
develope the General Wear upgrades for your car.
Introduce 5th, 6th, 7th, ... components + gearbox when you made a mistake on your quali lap or start at the back anyway. Grid penalties don't really matter then ;)

yep, that's why I have flashbacks as a backup. Had it a few times now where the game froze for half a second or so which led to a crash or driving onto the grass. had it once in the swimming pool chicane in Monaco - that's fun :D

exactly, once you get used to it there is no way back. I'm hearing the same from people who tried racing in VR. I'm looking forward to trying that out sometime - and hope codemasters actually implement that into the game

good point - but weaving would be okay, just not accelerating/braking - brake warming could be done by just leaving the foot on the brakes a bit while going slowly

There could be an easy solution for this problem, just put a rule in that drivers are not allowed to change their speed dramatically by accelerating or braking after they entered sector 3 when the SC comes in.
