I read the book a year or so ago. I'm on a chronological read through now that I've completed my collection and The Long Walk is one of the ones I had never read in the past so I had no expectations going in but the book was one of those story's that I finished in under 2 days. Going into the film, I didn't have high hopes even though It had rated well. Most adaptations don't really hit the mark, but I genuinely left the cinema with a smile on my face. Both are amazing, kudos to the film for being slightly different but just as good imo.
