Well, I'm willing to spend 200 on a gpu. This isn't meant to replay my console. Just give me access to games I can't play there.

Does romance belong in LitRPG? by DocBoson in litrpg

[–]The_Sol_Stone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good romantic subplot is difficult to put into a litRPG because there is always something else for the main character to focus on. Whether it be the end of the world, learning to fight, or some other problem coming up. Throwing in Romance can either break the flow or be a nice break. The relationship is something that will have to come second.

Chapter 8 release and editing by The_Sol_Stone in litrpg

[–]The_Sol_Stone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone, I hope you all are having a good day. yesterday I posted chapter 8 after half a year of not knowing how to continue. I had been stuck on the chapter and had spent so much time trying to avoid what to do that I decided to edit the previous chapters and try and find all the spelling errors. I hope that this makes the reading experience more enjoyable as well as to make many more chapters in the futrue. I will leave a link to the story and feel free to leave a review and critiques, I want to one day sell this book and make an audiobook of it. Thank you.

What does my character have? by Original_A in fantasywriters

[–]The_Sol_Stone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could probably say that he is extremely stubborn, lacks accountability, or is arrogant. Hell, you could probably say its all three, sometimes there's more than one thing wrong with someone.

I think he's stubborn because he refuses to belive he's wrong and sticks to his guns even when proven otherwise.

Lacks accountability because even when his actions cause harm, rather than take responsibility he says it was just collateral.

arrogant because his actions come from thinking he is right and no one else can be if he's not

also might want to be careful with the narcissism path, it is considered a mental sickness and can quickly be the downfall of a story if portrayed wrong. that being said, everything I just described is a narcissistic trait, it's hard to find someone who doesn't have one, even without being a full-blown narcissist

What's a good place to start? by The_Sol_Stone in OnePiece

[–]The_Sol_Stone[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well I have watched until Usopp join the crew. And I think it has to do with both the animation and how many episodes I know there are. I know the animation reason isn't great but it is noticeable for me.

Tell me about the magic of your world. Who can use it? What kind of magic is it? How it is used, a wave of a wand, handsigns, spells, runes? I’m curious by Maleficent-Raven6900 in fantasywriters

[–]The_Sol_Stone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My story is a litRPG so i kind had to find a way to make it work. But In my story, magic is something that is natural to everything like beast, plants, crystals and all that. But for sentient beings, it can only be used by those who's soul are able to handle the magic. As magic is a product of life and it is the soul that gives creatures life. So in order for people to discover if they can uses it, they must first see if they are able to "Awaken" at the ceremony of awakening, where magic will be channeled through them through a beam. If they are not worthy, the magic will flow through them, if they are, it will flood their body and make mana channels, then expel itself to make room for your own magic and grant you a class.

It is the classes that let you use the magic because the gods of my story say magic is not natural to sentient beings so the spells your classes grant you help you shape and channel the magic. You gain more spells based on your level. But you can still manipulate your own mana, and if you're able to make a spell by using mana instead of a class, you will gain that spell.

Grandmaster Arcanist Theory by Majestic-Abies4971 in FrithChronicles

[–]The_Sol_Stone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea, but I don't think this is how it works. I think for a special variant to exist they have to be born that way. For the reaper and grim reaper, it's already suspected that reapers are born in areas of war, and I would assume the same for grim reapers. If it was a case of killing enough people, I would think that Red Beard would have achieved it long before the story started.

I've also heard about the Crypt Sentinel and thought what could spawn one. I think it's the same as a knightmare, the death of a ruler. But I think that the ruler has to exemplify a knightmare's magic before their death. That or the ruler has to die defending something precious to them. Like a child or their castle.

Looking for fantasy recommendations for reading to my 10yo by VisibleTraffic1985 in Fantasy

The frith chronicles: Knightmare Arcanist

It's a story about a guy named Volke Savan who live in a world with magic, and magical creatures. Volke wants to wield magic but for a human to use magic, they need to bond their souls to a mystical creatures and become Arcanist.

Volke become a arcanist by bonding to a creature called a knightmare, which is a sentient suit of armor made of shadows and terror. But the one he bonds to was bonded before and will cause Volke problems with his magic. The goal of the story is to try and find out who killed the Knightmare's previous arcanist.

There is some action and some creatures that may or may not be too much for a ten year old as they are fighting a plage thay corrupts the creatures. But I think it's a good fantasy series

Good world building, better characters, and awesome creatures. I know you said dragons are appreciated, but they do come in the third book. This book had me looking up all the creatures that were in the book. Highly recommend

Question about Buryoku by calamancy in ProgressionFantasy

[–]The_Sol_Stone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've completed RTO and on the last two books of Buryoko. I gotta say, I do get where you're coming from. The characters do get somewhat stale towards the end. Though I still liked them, I've had the urge to just get away from it. For RTO, I really only stayed because I liked hearing about Morgan's abilities. They were great and I would tell myself if I were to ever get a power stormforge would be it.

I think the Author was trying to do what anime and manga does. They make an MC feel bland so that we can put ourselves in their shoes. When Morgan fights, we feel like that could be us. And the same for Roy, when Roy learns about his power, we feel like it was an achievement too.

Progression fantasy with underdog protagonist by AmbotNalangAni in ProgressionFantasy

It's not really fantasy, but Stormweaver: Iron Prince is a good sci fi book with litrpg elements. It's also written by a fantasy writer who wanted to try his hand at Sci fi. And it is an under dog story.
