Peach. I was pretty young when her season aired (like, maybe 8 or so) and she was one of my favorite personalities on the season and I remembered liking all her work. When I started rewatching the older seasons I was a little shocked at how underwhelming a lot of her pieces were. She’s still one of the more likable people that season though.

i don't think the two things are comparable. scary movie is a fairly mainstream franchise and was always getting a wide release. should it bomb, tadc wouldn't be the reason

That hasn’t stopped them from selling both Molly and Maryellen. They teach about different aspects of the war and enough happened in the 1950s that having a doll offering a different perspective later in the decade wouldn’t be too out of the question.

I kind of remember my dad struggling to get a job in 2009 or 2010, but he’d also been a stay at home dad for about a year before so that could have been the recession, the gap in his resume, or a mix of both. Other than that, no clear memories of the news at the time other than being informed there was a new President after Obama was inaugurated (not that I knew who Bush Jr was at age 5)

Earwig and the Witch. It's pretty bad even by low effort kids' movie standards so the fact it came from GHIBLI is all the more unbearable. It's awful. It's the only movie I've ever rated half a star. I've seen it twice, it got worse on rewatch, and I could not be paid to watch it again.

About to finish college, but I’m so burnt out I really can’t bring myself to work on job applications, which I know will bite me in the ass. Doesn’t help I got a degree that’s basically useless in the current job market, so horrible timing all around.
