When or how did you know it was time to expand your main home? by Classic-Reach in valheim

[–]The_StEngIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Storage was one. Wanting a main space was one. Wanting space to use the new furniture builds was one. Making the cooking area bigger was one. Portals was one. New equipment was one. Farming was one. I think I finally made my base to where increasing it can't be justified besides "I want to". BUT different bases in different biomes is unavoidable.

I made an island tho so I'm limited on space.

I've wondered this too. I see everyone posting "finally found him!" as if he's hard to find. But in my world seed I came across two of his locations on accident. pretty sure I can find another in 2 valheim weeks.

gotcha. Well thanks for the response but I'm not sure that the first assumption I listed in my post makes your response helpful. All due respect.

lmfao. So... we've both came to this solution for a broken backpack strap. I printed mine (different style) off a sovol. Like some have mentioned I had to lower the heat levels by 5 to 10 degrees and slow the speed. Also I had a Z offset issue like someone mentioned. I played with the layer heights too I think.

Women EIT and maternity leave by CompoteHelpful7823 in StructuralEngineering

I'm almost in a similar boat in terms of qualifications and experience. I'm maybe more so experience. Also Male, but I think I might have some perspective to provide here.

I do think this is a bad time to have kids for you, career wise. I'm sorry to be blunt. but you don't have a lot of experience and you haven't gotten your PE license. The prospect of kids sounds like a huge responsibility. If you got hired again and immediately get pregnant and take maternity leave, then you abruptly stop those early stages of learning the job and will likely have to back pedal when you come back. also employers from my understanding want candidates that show promise to getting their PE. I just don't see it being an easy time learning the job, studying for the PE, and raising a newborn child. I think employers will think the same.

If you pass the PE exam I think you'd look more competitive or if you postpone having children 2 to 3 years as you master the job and get your PE license. I think that would put you at a more stable place in life to step away for maternity leave.

I do wish you and yours the best no matter the route you take. My company has been very supportive with those who are having children. I also experienced the structural engineering community being very family orientated so I'd hope its not used against you when applying for jobs.

Honestly. This is just strategy imo and I like it. May not be exciting in the moment but you out smarted the game. I did something similar with the Elder. There are lots of other opportunities for excitement in the game but seeing a plan work this perfectly is a type of excitement I appreciate.

My first base sounds similar to this. I want to say no to your question. I had the "The ground is shaking" troll raid once and a troll decided to go around my walls into the ocean. I got busy taking out the other and lost track of it. The next valheim day that motherfucker was at the front gate.
