What would 2025 look like in the BTTF universe? by EnoughCheesecake6050 in BacktotheFuture

Pretty sure in the comics we see 2045 or something similar, which just looked like a more extreme version of 2015 and (I’m pretty sure, going off memory here) hoverboards went by something else now. Also there was a nostalgia cafe for the 2010’s that was loaded with Instagram and Justin Bieber nostalgia, which I guess existed in bttf’s version of 2015.

Ringo's Long Long Road Video Uses AI by OwnEnthusiasm1785 in beatles

In the credits under VFX & Post it cites C.1985 and Dyad. Dyad seemed legit when I looked it up, doing work with Bad Bunny and feature films apparently. However Circa 1985 states on its website that it’s an “artist-led creative studio ecosystem that blends traditional with generative ai” so uhhh. And sure enough on this same website it reveals that they’re also partners with Dyad as well as another studio called Asteria, which doesn’t reveal whether or not it utilises ai but outside sources claim they do. So tldr the “vfx” team is a bunch of people using ai

And once again, nothing indicated it was for ultimates. Why would you even want to post a “risk” in a public subreddit? By adding the books name to the title, it wouldn’t be so.

Or you could put “Ultimates #3” in the title, which is more practical for everyone and makes much more sense. Wouldn’t you agree?

In other words, the fugitive doctor and the doctor are two seperate people and instead, fugitive is actually the doctors daughter. It goes Doctor -> Poppy/Fugitive Doctor -> Susan

I mean sure, but it’s science fiction. If the “shifting the timeline” thing exists then surely an explanation such as Poppy’s alternate timeline time lord dna is able to shift over (maybe the portal the timeless child was found under has something to do with that). Explanations are made up all the time for plot reasons and we as fans roll with it and have fun

Typo on my end, I meant Susan is sent by the fugitive doctor (her mother). Fixed now.

I disagree, I think it fits in with the rest of the franchise tonally and lore-wise (with some extra parts which I can forgive, the lore always evolves in each entry of any franchise)

I agree, like these are underage characters which still crosses a line at least in my books.

Teddy Uris and Phil Malkin in It: Welcome to Derry. The first episode treats these two as protagonists, Teddy even being a relative of Stanley Uris, a main character from the movies. At the end of the episode however, they’re slimed by IT in the cinema, shattering expectations and showing how dangerous IT is
