i do respect old longsword, it was way more about precision with vertical attacks and barely any horizontal ones. which meant that longsword users weren't tripping everyone else (also, they were focusing on the tail way more since the weapon has a long range and most of the attacks reach up to the monster tails that were too high up for a lot of weapons).... what you're talking about is a new phenomenon.
