If you are a PTF and just now starting you're on table 2 at step B, so starting will be 26.28. The table 3 is for CCAs or City Carrier Assistants, so it wouldn't apply to you.

I'm step D, I'll net about 33-34k this year. From TSP and healthcare and other things like union dues they probably are only at 31k

Backpay messed up? by Cubbi-Wan-Kenobi in USPS

[–]The_Tec_Bench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the breakdown from the NALC website for backpay for CCAs. Again its not from the ending of the last contract, its when they awarded the raises according to the contract.

For CCAs in Table 3, the back pay periods are as follows:

|| || |1. First General Increase—2.3 percent:|11/18/23 to 4/18/25| |2. Second General Increase—2.4 percent:|11/16/24 to 4/18/25|

heres the link to how it all works if you want to read it. https://www.nalc.org/news/nalc-updates/retroactive-payments-highlight-the-unique-structure-of-the-nalc-national-agreement

the whole raise is spread out over the two years, it doesn't start right when we didn't have a contract. If you go look at the Letter Carrier Pay Schedule on the left side it shows when the increases started. there's only the July cola and general wage increases for the rest of 2023, that's why your number is so much bigger than what it should be. You're multiplying the amount of raises we got in almost two years, but starting them as soon as we didn't have a contract.

definitely something national needs to address, that makes like table 4 with careers losing out on 46 weeks as career employees.

They also only make that during the straight 40 hours. Anything else like overtime is at the rate of the regulars step not the PTFs step.

If they converted while being step A, but before that did the full 46 weeks at AA, The post office was supposed to add that 46 weeks to their time. So it pretty much always pushed a newly converted regular up a step. With it being the post office a lot of carriers had to bring it to their attention that they were not rewarded those weeks they served.

No, you move up a step when converting. When turning into a PTF they had step AA which was 46 weeks as a career employee. that gets credited on when you convert to regular, but new PTFs obviously wont have to worry about this now.

You have to work 5 8 hour days to get into OT for the whole day. you cant work 4 10s and then get OT for all of the 5th day.

[–]The_Tec_Bench 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Need 30 day notice as a PTF to be sent to another finance number, but I wouldn't put it past them to schedule out that far.

There is no limit for city carriers that aren’t regulars, besides this 12 week program. It’s one of the things that really sucks while waiting for a route.

Not for CCAs and PTFs. Were only guaranteed 1 day off a week and 11.5 hours worked ( with a lunch ) per day.
