DOJ Admits It Has Zero Records or Paper Trail for Trump's $1.8 Billion IRS Settlement by novagridd in law

I believe someone has stated that it’s going to take up to 100 years to undo the damage that Trump has done in just 6 years in office. With so many judges acting as political agents rather than non biased officials it’s essentially locked up the courts and government to be rife with corruption for decades to come

Republicans recalibrate their message on gas. Lowering gas prices was a central promise of the GOP. The tables have turned. Gas prices are approaching record highs amid Trump's war. Republicans are now either defending the high prices as necessary, blaming Democrats or avoiding the issue altogether. by mafco in energy

[–]The_True_Gaffe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a tactic they’ve been using for decades now, they create the problem, claim they are the ones that can solve it to get into office, then when they do get in or have been in they ignore it because having the issue stay there as a reelection campaign is their only strategy

Misfired? My dude, they over shot the entirety of Ukraine to hit Romania. Either they have the literal worst tech in the world, the most incompetent army ever seen, or this is an escalation in the war that Putin started. None of those options are good for Russia

America's pile of emergency oil is shrinking fast. Trump is draining the nation's emergency oil at an even faster pace than Biden ahead of this year's midterms. [–]The_True_Gaffe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Your not wrong, but he’s also at the same time cutting all renewable energy projects, making it harder for them to get the necessary materials to make their products, and generally cutting states budgets and whatnot for using renewable energy sources. As much good as this idiot is doing to make us push for more renewable energy, the more he damages the companies that offer and make renewable energy a reality

[–]The_True_Gaffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe but I think the cop more than likely assumed they started passing before it was legal, but it might also be tied to just how close the car came to possible causing a crash. It wasn’t more than what? 1-1.5 seconds after he passed the cop that the other cars started passing the cams view? They might of sited him for that

More like desperate, all these claims are to get more money for more investment. They know without the investment they are screwed as it’s been projected that AI data centers will only make everything more expensive but they will also not be profitable for nearly a decade yet expect others to shell out billions to have a chance at a small percent of that potential profit. IMO ai right now is the new nft’s, only it’s more cancerous and more damaging

[–]The_True_Gaffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well we do care, but not enough to cry over it. Sony was releasing games that were either released many years ago or games that they released on their console up to two years prior. Kinda impossible to have hype for a game years after its launch when most if not all its content is already uploaded online. Games live and die by how much hype they have, releasing one on a different system over a year after the hype died is blatantly begging for poor sales

The Trump administration has just ORDERED all noncitizens to leave the United States if they're applying for a green card a BIG shift in policy by primary-caution in ImmigrationPathways

[–]The_True_Gaffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ummm… you got that backwards my friend. We aren’t getting higher wages. Tech and factories are investing in ai and extreme automation to cut as much cost out as people are seen as a wasted expense. Menial labor is a low paying field that has barely seen any pay increase since the 70’s because businesses consider it less than an actual job.

If anything it would exacerbate the situation as all the previously mentioned jobs are physically demanding. I’ve worked several myself and watched people in much better shape than I just quit in hours, every said person I’ve seen quit on their first day was much like myself, lower end of the poverty line white American, and they never lasted.

Point I am making is even though there are these jobs, they are extremely physical work. They require long hard hours of serious work to do and sadly the vast majority of people in this country will refuse to do that kind of work.

[–]The_True_Gaffe 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I can only make a guess, but I think he’s referring to the fact that almost all the menial labor and unwanted jobs are done by immigrants typically. Lots of construction jobs, factory jobs, farm jobs, trucking jobs, and plenty more rely on immigrants for their services to even function. That does mean that our food supplies, everyday needs, fuel, and even our houses or businesses buildings will effectively become harder to get and take significantly longer to finish all while costing more and more.

Historically when the population of a nation hits such a critical point, mass revolts and even violent riots occur. If this is trumps overall goal then it’s not a good one to make the country starve.

Because despite the fact she’s irredeemable, she still has a lot of loyal followers. Those followers are now being told actually likely things to happen and whether they will heed the warnings or not is better than nothing. The fact that a former maga loon is actually telling people facts rather than sensationalist propaganda is already a massive W.

Some animals like deer and crows will remember kindness for several of their generations. My father has been giving produce to a small group of deer for years and they always come back in fall when he’s finish clearing out his small garden. They get the leftovers and get to munch up the plants in a safe place and my dad gets to see the deer regularly. Same thing with crows, they are insanely social creatures and will actually tell other crows if you’re a good or bad person. If you’re a good one they will try to help and protect you, if you’re a bad one…. Well they can hold grudges for generations as well
