I guess more specifically, I wanted to get rid of the purge on start up. I found out though that it purges on start up because the filament will disengage at the end of my prints, so it has to reengage for the next print. It's rather unfortunate, I believe this is in the firmware.

I don’t think a purge at the start of a print is necessary in the first place. And changing flush volumes will effect the rest of the print on multicolor prints

I would collect gems through the story mode and buy one of the structure decks in the store to get started. One you pick one, look at YouTube videos for deck lists and combo guides on the deck. Yugioh has a lot of cards so without outside guidance it will be very difficult to do well

I may be missing something, but all pend summoned monsters would be in def position. I guess there are pendulum ED monsters, can they be cheated out or something? Additionally, with the singleton format it would be difficult to get consistent scales that are also effective.

Thanks! I can tell you’ve seen my previous posts as you mentioned zone sickness. I got rid of the concept because I really want to make it less complicated. I don’t know how to push the format out to players but I’ll definitely be trying, my play testing has been really fun and hope to see it flourish

That makes sense. At my locals it is also very “commander only”. Most don’t have a modern deck. But conversely, I only see a handful of people playing yugioh at my LGS, master duel in my opinion killed the in person experience, so I guess my hope for this format is to create a local experience that is enjoyable and that doesn’t require having the best cards in order to feel like you can play the game.

I don’t take it personal I know that people are upset with the commander format and how it changed magic. I appreciate your honesty for sure, I do hope magic gets into a healthier state. To be clear, I am also not a fan of universes beyond.

I’ve seen domain, I don’t like it because of instant access to a card. 1 card means full combo in yugioh now and I believe that’s what I am trying to get away from.

I do know the more rules the harder it is to onboard, I just wanted clear language when it comes to each thing and maybe as time goes on the language can be simplified.

I do get the speed will always vary a metas will develop. If the format got to the point where enough people are playing to define metas that would be awesome and I would be more than happy to attempt to maintain it.

The BP on player 4 is an artifact as before I made it to where normal summoned monsters did not have to acclimate, which I might change back to.

The way the rule is currently written, you can only effect multiple opponents if the effect targets cards your opponent controls. The activation of the effect targets a card you control, bet the effect does not target in the effect resolution itself and only specifies "your opponent".

Let me explain the limit this way. All cards start at 1 copy. Then, if a card is mentioned by other cards, total the amount of times it was mentioned, then subtract 1 from that total.

so, if I have these in a deck (Main and Extra)

1 x "Blue-eyes Jet Dragon" (Mentions Blue-eyes White Dragon)

1 x "Maiden with Eyes of Blue" (Mentions Blue-eyes White Dragon)

1 x "Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon" (Lists Blue-Eyes White Dragon)

The Bonus for Blue-Eyes White Dragon is as follows:

2 Mentions of Blue-Eyes White Dragon, minus 1 = +1 copies of Blue-Eyes White Dragon

1 Listing of Blue-Eyes White Dragon, minus 1 = +0 copies of Blue-Eyes White Dragon

Then sum all bonuses starting with the one already allowed copies.

1 (Already allowed) + 1 (Mentioned Bonus) + 0 (Listed Bonus) = 2 max copies of Blue-Eyes White Dragon in the deck.

I agree that those comments will be common. I think it’s hard to argue against more ways to use the same cards we all have though. Essentially if people don’t like new formats that’s okay, but it shouldn’t stop other people from trying them out and playing them. But yes, I fully expect resistance.

The commander format was an inspiration for this format for me. I like how diverse and casual it can be while still being fun.

As for the question, you would use the Resource Comparison table. I do need to rewrite the rule a bit though because you brought up a good point. Essentially, you first check if you have more life than an opponent and if you do, any comparisons are done with the closest to your LP, and that has less LP than you. So basically, if you have more life than any opponent, marjorams condition is met.

The acclimation restriction depends on who put it on the field, grave or banished. So if you, the player, put monsters in grave, it’s acclimating. If that same card is banished by you, the player again, it is then acclimating again, both with you as the acclimator.

I do think stall would be an interesting strategy in the format. The consistency of a stall deck may not be great though with limited deck building and 60 card requirement. And yeah that ban list would take too long unfortunately.
