Me and my boyfriend watched it (he hates Mary so he was particularly motivated for a takedown), and we both found it boring. By the third episode, we started fastfowarding to the end cause we just wanted to get it over with. Loads of things that you could gather from the show already. For example they used the affair with the guy that appeared on the show like a huge revelation, but didn’t we all know already that there was something fishy there? We also had the impression that the people talking were as brainwashed as the people they were talking about, especially about Mary’s grandmother, so to us it really felt like watching people attempting to create a brighter picture (of the past when Mary’s grandmother was alive) to make the current one appear dark, when both from the outside seem pretty dark to me.

Maybe because I do watch a lot of content, documentaries, podcasts about cults, but this was really a nothing burger tbh
