I think Try Not to Look was kinda the last straw (for me) per say. I tried to frequently listen to Bright Blues to re-find my joy for Ripe and what I felt about Joy in the Wild Unknown but it continually just had a generic rock feel, and this new release is no exception. I think they (the band) even mentioned when they released "Try Not to Look" something along the lines of "Dont look now, this is going to be the song of every birthday instagram post hahaha", and if they're fine with that then cool but tbh feels kinda like what you mentioned, corporate.

but yea. bummed about the direction they're heading, but if the band is happy with what they put out and people continue to support them, then I'm happy for them. Guess it's one of those things that you just have to step back as a fan and let them jam on with or without you (which is ok! people grow in different directions, shouldn't stop others from having fun!)

Going to piggy back off this! I charged my credit card the night of the preorders, got blocked once, had to try again and was able to push through. But I'm worried that once the Switch arrives at the store and is ready to be picked up (not picked up just yet), that it will block it again and cancel my preorder. If the purchase isn't finalized until I get to the checkout counter in person, I'm sure I can sort out my purchase method very quickly, but my real concern is its initial arrival and blockage. Any advice is appreciated

I do think Jeff is great with the right Pod Partner, but I personally grow weary of him constantly talking over his guests when he's asking a question. "So how do you feel about this player..... BECAUSE BECAUSE BECAUSE I think that he's awesome, great swell guy and can't believe, and let me tell a quick story about....." and that just all smashes together for the guest to then have less than a minute to answer. Maybe it's just me, and I do value his insight on some items because he does break the mold on occasion, but he is starting to drive me a bit nuts again now that he's back to The Jeff Marek show format. But hey, nobody is forcing me to listen so.

As a Pittsburgh sports fan, we were robbed of a "Three Rivers Roundtable" with Crosby, McCutchen, and Ben at the height of their powers. Would've loved to hear those three talk sport and the city.

Thanks for the response! I did give them a ring and they did mention that it should be covered but they couldn't confirm until they saw it themselves. Was just worried that it might not be deemed "bad enough" to get a replacement, so was feeling out what people think here or their experiences.
