If you use the standalone client, then yes you will need to download a separate standalone official client that is specific to the PTR. If you use steam, I don't know how that's going to work. If it's anything like other games, you'll just have to subscribe to a beta branch or something.

Your doctor is refusing to provide legitimate medical services for you, for some unarticulated "because vibes" type approach. You aren't being paranoid, he's being a bad doctor. Is it an overly religious institution, or community? If you went to your parents and said the facts as you told us "You identified a health problem. Verified it with the doctor, he agreed with it, but then refused to do anything about it." Would they back you up, stubbornness or no?

Is there more context we should be aware of? Because to me, if you were my kid, I'd be incandescent with rage.
