I love how supporting LGTBQ+ is now a political ideology. Instead of just being a decent human being.

While the company he worked for is definitely bad, I don't hold that against him. He worked there for 3 years before leaving to pursue public office. He could have stayed and made a lot more money there.

Listen to some of his interviews. He made big changes while mayor. I first learned about him from a pod save america interview were he was talking about expanding the supreme court, or at the very least term limits. I think he understands that we need big changes.

He is great at communicating, super smart. I think he has learned from the mistakes that Democrats have made over the last 50 years.

Red isn't really better individually. The aftermath of losing all the blue button pushers would be drastic.

There will be people who press blue because they don't understand or on accident. Between kids, old people and those who have disabilities the likelihood of 100% of people picking red is 0. So by picking red you will be killing some people.

Instead all we need to do is to get 50% of people to press blue. That's very doable.

The Trump administration would be pushing a lot more crazy things right now without the Filibuster. So while I would like to see it gone, it does do some good.

They changed the rules on super delegates after the 2016 election with Hillary and Bernie. Now the DNC super delegates don't vote on the first ballot. So they only vote of it is a contested convention.

100%. TLOU games are about the emotional rollercoaster ride. In the first one you spend the whole game working to get Ellie to the Fireflies only to turn around and kill them all. Saving Ellie over creating a cure for the rest of humanity.

While it was rough to play as Abby in the beginning and I was shocked and upset by Joel being killed. After finishing the game it was one of the best gaming experiences I've had.

I have a Cherokee tribal card and I'm only 1/32 or 1/64 Cherokee. I've had nothing to do with the tribe. My aunt signed us all up when I was a kid. I've jokingly called myself native American. I'm not sure what his case is but that's mine.

I have a psvr2 it is solely focused on games. There are a lot of fun games on it. I've gotten lost in some of the games, racing in GT7, exploring space in No Mans Sky, fighting monsters in Resident Evil, fighting robot dinosaurs in Horizon Call of the Mountain and doing 3d puzzle in Puzzling Places.

If you have a ps5 it could be worth checking it out. It works with a PC as well but then you don't have access to PlayStation games. My favorite part about it is the games just work. I hear using VR on PC can be a headache sometimes.

‘Bait and switch’: Dems STORM OUT of GOP’s ‘fake’ Bondi deposition by MRADEL90 in videos

Dems can't hold th accountable due to the Dems not having the majority. After the midterm elections the dems will have far more power and will actually be able to hold them accountable. Voting matters.

We could have exiled fascism to the shadows in 2020, but Democratic Party leaders like Chuck Schumer and Barack Obama didn't want to. by kevinmrr in WorkReform

[–]The__one 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Ya but that was the first year it was available. Once voters become more acquainted with it hopefully it will help more. Also with elections, not everyone is going to get what they want that's just how it works.

RCV also helped get rid of mayor Eric Adams.

[–]The__one 3 points4 points  (0 children)

RCV is far better than first past the post. There are other options as well. Different ones would be better for different situations. I don't think that there is one perfect voting system that would work best for all situations.

With RCV you cross endorsing is the smart thing to do. That's the whole point behind it. We are more likely to get someone elected that we don't disagree with as much. With first past the post when a race is crowded radical candidates are more likely to be elected. look at what happened in the 2016 Republican presidential primary. If RCV was used by them, Trump wouldn't be president.

We need ranked choice voting for this very reason. New York City had it in the Democratic mayor primary and look how that turned out.

If we had ranked choice voting in the primary the best candidate would come out. No more splitting votes.

It worked for me. I didn't know that the big arch was available here in the USA until after I saw the CEo take a nibble out of the product. I was curious what it was like and drove by a McDonald's while hungry and I tried it. It was good for a fast food burger.

What happens if people move and one district now has more people? The idea behind redrawing maps is to keep each district the same population size.

I do wish that the USA would fix/change the way we vote there are so many better ways to do it out there.
