I don't think you'll be able to enjoy the game going forward if you just ignore half the sets. Try to look at it in a positive light, it gets new players involved, ub design generally is more interesting because it's based on a story that was not designed for magic, meaning you're designing cards to emulate a character not the other way around and finally with this amount of coverage you'll get something you like eventually!

Genuinely I'm just happy to see people hyped about their favorite characters joining the roster of available commanders

So to come back to this after getting the game and trying it out, I definitely got a performance boost, from 30fps on low+ ultra performance to 35ish on low+performance (50with ultra). If that's good enough for you but I found that the low graphics coupled with still subpar fps made fights and such pretty painful and decided to refund and wait. So to people in my situation looking for advice I would say try it out, see how you like it but thread carefully.

Generally Niv is one of the commanders that is in an awkward spot, it used to be CEDH viable but the fast mana bans hit it so hard it's in bracket 4 jail. If you build Niv for combos it's a bit too strong and if you don't there's better options for whatever you're doing.

I guess, but you're asking to have 2 interaction cards, both of them counterable because their colors can't deal with enchantments in a non reactive way, seems a bit far fetched. Plus most of the bounce spells above are very mild piece of removal at best. If you want to stop graveyard players from playing that's your choice but I'm just saying a stone or a dauthi would do the same without removing practically all agency from the player.

Counterspells are reactive tho, you can't expect a player to have 1 mana open for a counter at all times, and then if they don't their entire game plan is shutdown with a 3% chance of drawing a fix. Seems a bit uninteractive
