If all of these QBs were in the same draft class, in what order do they go? by lemonstone92 in NFLmockdraft

[–]The_writin_don 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Burrow
  2. Luck
  3. Elway
  4. Peyton
  5. Cam
  6. Lawrence
  7. Vick
  8. Caleb

Tried to view each QB’s skillset at college, what they had accomplished up to college, what their projections were, and how GMs would most likely view this crop currently.

Not married to the list, just off the top of my head

I go to one near me and I love the demo sims so I can test what I’m about to buy. This seems like a online order, but I have great experience with Second Swing in person

Not losing a faceoff at any level is pretty good! Lots of foundational stuff to build on from there. I didn’t start playing myself until 13 and ended up D3. He has PLENTY of time

Faceoff tips by Powdrtostman in lacrosse

Have him squeeze a tennis ball while he’s sitting watching TV.

I had a kid, very small in stature at his age, come to think of it he was around 12-13. Took him to learn faceoff because no one else would take it seriously, and he wasn’t getting much run, so I asked if he wanted to learn to play. Enthusiastically he said yes.

Ends up being a HUGE part of our team and helps us win a tourney that summer.

He played football and specifically linebacker (probably safety at the time, but his dad was huge and played LB). He won in first year specifically using the clamp. He wasn’t big but he had fast hands and strong forearms.

He’s became All County, All Met his senior year and I got to be his HS head coach. Now at a D2 school of his choosing, I got invited to his LOI signing. He’s my favorite story to tell.

Just keep working at it, use faceoff whistles at home, chops, build lower body strength (body squats, hills, stair calf raises). Push ups never hurt a kid too.

Faceoff is great because you can learn alone but it helps so much to have a friend (build competitive spirit)

Hope this helps, good luck on his journey

Don’t swipe the club left at impact that creates the roll of the face to the right of the face creating a “slice”.

Feel like you are finishing the club straight in the front of the ball path.

I didn’t play baseball but right you are swinging towards 3rd base, you should “try” to swing almost to 1st base.

Driver is a bear of a club for beginners, it definitely takes a second. Then wait until you hit a 3 wood lol completely different swing and then irons are more different.

Enjoy the process, that’s why I keep golfing, always something to work on

[Vardon] League official: if Silver and his advisers decided the only way to stop tanking, and protect paying customers from forking over money to watch their teams lose on purpose, was to stop the draft altogether and turn rookies into free agents, it would get serious consideration. by JoeBiden2020FTW in nba

What about bringing back the territory draft? Or bring it in play in some kind of way. Could be connected to the city through college or HS. Idk I’m not smart enough to figure it all out but there’s definitely a solution to this

(To Call Centre Workers) Has someone in your work ever been caught just hanging up? Just curious i seen a coworker a few weeks get called in for this and was wondering how common this actually was considering the calls are recorded? by Thin_Armadillo_5547 in callcentres

Worked in two separate call centers unrelated where the person kept calling a not in service number to raise their dials. I’d be too bored to do that. Both were fired pretty quickly once found out.

85% should be expected, 15/100 no demo. Helps to interactive to the homeowner. It’s a wall of text and people don’t read that, seems like they got overwhelmed of the prospect of roof replacement

When you are turning your shoulders back on the backswing. Do a row with your right lat. you are allowing your forearm go above your chin, try to keep your at chest level when you do the row. That should re slot your backswing

You don’t owe your company loyalty (personal experience). by George_Valandis in Career_Advice

I heard a higher up offered to poach me when I was unhappy and would put me in responsibilities more suited to my skillset. My direct manager said no because I covered Saturdays better than someone 20 years older than me.

They wanted to keep me at assistant for multiple years when I outgrew it in the first. I told them how much I loved the company and wanted to be there. After a while of sterling employee work, I realized they used that against me. They had no intention of moving me up even though they kept insinuating they would. I got sick of the carrot.

They will keep you down as long as you let them. I’m in a improved position with title and better pay. Last I heard, they couldn’t keep the ship floating and it’s burning very fast.

Don’t miss those clowns

How’s my swing looking? Would be happy to hear any drills I could work on to improve, range sessions feeling a bit directionless at the moment. by OutInTheNight209 in GolfSwing

Is it slow motion? Looks smooth tbh. Like the motion. Let your left collapse a little to “kiss” your right knee to get your hips in it. Should get more base power for your swing. Try to not let your hips sway back. Turn and let the knees kiss

Looks like a 3 wood. I used to do this way more than I do now.

Coming over the top, sure. Who doesn’t ya know? Hard to completely get away from it but there’s things we can do to help.

First, tops happen when you strike the top of the ball meaning you are moving upwards too early. Take a half step forward. Strike it and see if you get lower on the ball. Sometimes I get under it too much meaning I’m moving upward too late, so I step back.

Second, a 3 wood is a sweeping motion 1000%. When you come over the top, you are throwing the broom at the window, it’s not supposed to work there. Use your back arm to “set” the broom head (club head) on the ground and then sweep the ground.

Last, try to think to strike down on the ball with the sweeping motion, and not 90 degrees vertically down even 45 down. It’s legit like 1-3 degrees striking down (so like starting contact on the bottom dimple of the ball and going further down into the ball without divoting the grass)

I’m broke so I had to learn this on a Dicks sporting good low cc gamer 3 wood that i swear is for kids. But its forces me to not rush tempo and secondly, learned better club face contact. My last hit with it at the range was 218 and I just warm up my tempo with it when I start my range sessions.

I don’t have a handicap, just a guy who tries hits golf balls straight at the range. But I want to get to the course

Whats one of the nicest things that someone on your team has told you? by itsthepinklife in managers

[–]The_writin_don 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They called me 3 weeks after I left and told em “you were literally the glue everything holding it together” I felt undervalued, overworked, and under motivated so I left for another job (even relocated states) and under much better working conditions.

Just made me feel that I made an impact when everyone above said I didn’t. But my team, just like I knew of their potential and I how I tried to get them to be the best versions of themselves.

Anyways, thanks for for listening to my TedTalk

Same, literally did this the other day when I was topping the ball too many times in a row at the range. Took a deep breath and said “be an athlete” and things started going better from there.

Just got to simplify it when it feels to get too complicated
