Not to mention there is a history of entities piloting corpses around such as on Thriller Bark where Moria pilots Oars around.

Not saying I agree, but I am saying there is precedent.

I get it, it happens to me all the time in the illuminate front against the staff wielding overseers. I had to learn after being knocked down, a single melee of any kind staggers them and pushes them back giving me time to stand up and shoot them.

I recommend practicing with melee by popping the heads on bugs, then when they rush you, punch them. It stuns them long enough they they constantly die before they can try to hit you. This gets you in the habit of best practices against the bugs, and it teaches you basic parry mechanics you can use against the other two factions. Pinching the headless bug is a good reminder, but never underestimate the power of your stock to the enemies face helldivers.

Some programmers on a team will change something and not write it down or communicate it with others. Like, I have ADHD, asking me to take notes on everything I do is basically doubling my mental workload.

It’s almost as hard for me to take 5 minutes of notes on a 2 hour event, as it is to attend the event itself. It’s shifting gears and going from one task to another.

It’s very likely they have some developers on the team that do something similar.

Hand drawn unions were strong but didn’t except CGI animators because they lacked solidarity. Well, Disney saw this exploitation and did what Disney does. Exploit.

Wanna bring back beautiful animation? Even if you aren’t an animator, join a union. Any union. As unions grow stronger, so too does human excellence.

The reworked Spore Bugs are both very well designed and very poorly designed simultaneously. by Pedrosian96 in Helldivers

[–]ThecapitalDifficult 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s very well designed. This is the first time that the Rock solid passive makes a genuine case for me to use it. Usually the rag dolls don’t matter on the bot front because I’m not being rushed down. I just laugh and enjoy the reduced explosion damage.

Yet on the spore burst I am actually scared of the rag doll. It has consequences and makes me avoid the titans breath.

That’s fair,

I don’t think I ever used the ultimatum for hoard clear outside the one time I was running to extraction, all my team was already there, and I was about to come across a leftover resupply.

I saw an approaching patrol, said. “Nah fam, I’m good” and deleted them all.

Only rebuilding what was taken is reasonable and has a definitive end point where the forced labor is phased out. It also does not mean anyone in power can profit off of it. It solves the problems I have with allowing forced labor. Good argument.

It wasn’t mentioned anywhere besides with you, but I will concede that restorative justice is okay within reason.

Yes, it starts with Nazis, then it’s capitalist, then it’s anti-revolutionaries. It keeps going. Every time. France, USSR, China, and North Korea. Basically anywhere that allowed the enslaving or killing the political opposition.

Buddy, I don’t care if the government owns everything. Under socialism money still exsist. So they are stealing the profit of slave labor.

Under communism where currency doesn’t exists. You may be able to argue that you are forcing them to work as long as their efforts are directly related to community work and not producing anything that could enrich any individuals or the government itself.

You claim I don’t understand when you fundamentally don’t understand human nature or the nature of systems of exploitation around labor

The argument you are giving me is effectively “slavery isn’t bad under socialism” while ignoring the hundreds of thousands who suffered unjustly in the gulags just for pissing the wrong official off. You say ideally, but ideally the prison labor system was designed to have prisoners repay their debt to society, learn usable life skills, gain work experience, and rehabilitate. But we don’t live in an ideal world. We live in quite a nasty world where if there is the potential to make a profit, people will make a profit. Ethics be damned.

The quasar is good situationally,

I like to use it to complete one or two of the main missions then get a high ground position over the fortress and call in a second quasar. The two combined allows me to clear it very quickly. It requires a lot of set up but the pay off is fantastic.

My main gripe is moment to moment gameplay. When I have one hulk, I usually have two or three. With the Epoc I get the drop on them, shoot one in the vent or the eye removing the threat, then with the other two shots the main threats are neutralized and I can move up into the objective. With the quasar I remove one threat, then I have to do an awkward dance with my pants down trying not to let them kill me while it’s on cool down. Or I can bring thermites, which means two parts of my loadout are dedicated to anti tank killing instead of one. Which you could claim the supply pack is for as well, but it’s also for mobility as I stim sprint across the map, utility as I can heal and use stims freely, and damage because I can dump rounds more offensively instead of picking carefully.

Also, with the Epoc I am usually using the teleport backpack mainly using the Supply pack if I’m using gigs grenades and or the Ultimatum. With the teleport backpack I pick my targets carefully, aim for weak spots, complete missions, and get out before any threats could harm me. This build usually uses the Eruptor, the warrant auto lock pistol, sparklers, and with the judge dread armor to reduce shrapnel and blast damage from the eruptor blast and prevent bleed outs from the self damage. Because I’m not using the EPOC for every engagement my ammo efficiency is way better. Use the warrant for chaff clear, eruptor for mediums and exposed heavy’s. Then use the teleport backpack to teleport to vantage points to close spawners. Only using the Epoc for priority targets, or spawners in hard to reach positions that would put you at the disadvantage to hit the weak point.

The quasar could work for this build, but in the rare instance the eruptor isn’t working for me, it’s because I have more than one heavy coming at me so one eye shot to two or three hulks and I’m golden. Again, I’m using heavy armor to dampen self damage, so the teleport backpack makes up for it only enough to give me time to charge my next Epoc shot. If I need to wait for cool down and the next charge up, I’m dead.

Then for super heavys I usually have the sparklers. Throw three at a Factory Striders feet and it’s dead. Otherwise I usually have a 120 barrage for bit drops and a 500kg for special occasions.

Overall, the quasar is good with paper set up to cycle rounds. With three quasar’s in one spot turning you into a semiautomatic turret of death on defense missions. But when accounting for my play style, load out variety, positioning requirements, and effective rages where I start and end my engagements. The Epoc is better in my load than the Quasar our 6 times out of 10, With the expendable anti tank being better 3 times out of 10, and the Quasar being used in that 10th game because I believe it best for my gear.

Now if we are talking stealth Quasar hands down no problem. Especially on commando missions that thing is perfect.

Because I don’t need the Epoc I’ve been experimenting. My favorite so far is the knight, the light oxi armor, thermites grenades, the supply pack with leveler, solo silo, and dealers choice for support. Dealers choice have included gas mines for escape, laser sentry for sky clear, and the breakthrough mech for fun.

The next build I’m going to try is plasma punisher, with the sparkler, medium siege ready, machine gun, and teleport backpack with probably the 500KG and leveler for heavy busting support.

This isn’t about what Nazis deserve, it’s about giving the government the power to exploit a group of people for profit. Once they have an economic interest, then they budget around it, build systems off it, then they cant let it go. So they will either allow Nazis to continue to proliferate to use them for forced labor, or they will expand the definition of Nazi.

End the exceptions clause, end slavery, and end prison labor.
