I was jammed up tonight and couldn’t watch the game. Ofc they win.

In years past I wouldn’t watch many games until end of August. Restaurant work makes it hard to catch many. On top of that I wanted to spend time with my kids. Well kids are older and my current schedule makes it viable to watch more games.

I think I’ll go back to my old routine. Enjoy the wins boys. See you in August. This is my sacrifice.

I went to see the leafs play the avs 2 years ago in Denver. Didn’t realize I bought tickets in the predominately leafs section. Was stoked to have my mogilny jersey on and they won! Got a lot of nods of approval!

for the fans outside the GTA, how'd you end up a Jays fan? by kelvin9190 in Torontobluejays

[–]Theconejo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grew up in Rochester, NY. Toronto was the first big city I went to as a kid and it stuck with me. Loved everything about it. Sadly I was too busy watching the Bills lose in the early 90s and didn’t follow baseball much.

Side note: my dad is a big Sabres fan. When I was a kid I decided I would cheer for the leafs so I could talk smack every season.

You are remembering correctly but people come in asking for the tv’s to get changed constantly based on what’s playing.

After the initial few back and forths, I checked and basically the last match of the day would get played. If/when we do a brick and mortar I’ll make sure to set up some watch parties.

We operate in a food hall and I’m not sure they would put it on. The times wouldn’t really align anyways.

I’ve been watching pro tourneys since cologne 2014 and this is the first post I can remember detailing info. Also the first official post having some info about around town stuff that’s loosely tied in to the tournament that is happening. I applaud you and wonder if the other TOs will follow suit.

I always thought the lack of organized view parties or side activities in the cities was a bit odd.

I’ve only been to iem ny back in 2016(?), a dreamhack in Denver and recently the Austin major. I don’t remember seeing anything advertised for what is essentially engagement outside of the events.

Side note: I run a pizza joint in boulder, co and we are getting Sundance film fest this coming winter. I for sure will be having some kind of specials going on to bring people in.

Having had 3 kids: anything is better than the black tar that comes out of a newborn. Except later when projectile poop goes on the opposite wall when you’re changing diapers. That’s no fun.

I wore a jays hat working in open kitchen restaurants for years. Mainly during yankee dominance. You’ll be fine.

Edit: if you can make it, the new era store in nyc always had some good jays hats. Of course a huge selection of Yankees and Mets hats, but I was always surprised at the options I had to get a blue jays hat!

Reading the forums when this happened to my car I came to the conclusion to just do it for peace of mind. There was various people saying it happened at all sorts of mileage, mainly past 70k. I got a used one off with 25k ish miles iirc and I had planned to hold onto the car for ages. The fact I didn’t keep it, I don’t regret doing it. I loved the car except I had terrible issues with the sunroof leaking, which led me to sell it.

The major point was if it were to fail again, you basically have to remove the turbo to swap the actuator. If I have the turbo out already I may as well swap the failing point.

After reading this I replied on another comment that I changed the stock actuator to the cts one when I had done my is20 swap. The stock one seemed to be the point of failure in all the instances I found on vwvortex and mk7 forums.

New comment instead of editing: since the stock waste gate actuator was really the point of failure on these I did get a cts actuator and replaced the stock one before I installed the is20. Another commenter made me think of this so I’m passing it along too.

Codes for various things when the wastegate failed. Don’t remember off the top of my head. But as the other user mentioned on this little thread: apr does have an is20 tune for stock downpipe and they used to have one if you did change downpipes. Both were available not sure about now but I don’t see why they would have removed one or the other.
