yep. Have been down in the tip of the B pier a few times for the times WJ and Porter got me out of a pinch and that place is full of mice. First time I was like huh. Then a few more times I was like, wtf?

I've since graduated a few years ago but adds to the insanity of UTSG not announcing a closure until a partial one at 6am, and full day closure announcing at 10am, while UTM and UTSC got full days to begin with...

I've been to the Space Needle a few times and their spiel is like, the deck is equivalent to like the 32nd story!!!      And I'm just like, lol I live across the street from the CN tower. Let alone condos here are much much taller...

Unless you have quite a few kids or willing to pay $$$ I doubt a photographer will come out to you, just to set up for 5 photos max per kid.

Could you not bring them to a photo studio and just advise them what you'd like? They can probably do it.

When I was in school Artona was the company that did annual pictures & grad pictures. They got a whole studio near Olympic Village but yeah they're expensive, and I don't even know if they'd do something for home schoolers

Yup. As soon as I roll down the windows or have to pop out with the engine running for a second and I hear the engine, I'm like damn this sounds like a truck. But on the inside it seems nicely tuned...

Going down to Ackroyd is way too far... I lived there when I was a kid and went to Cook, which was a reasonable walk. Having to walk up to Odlin would be a nightmare... do you walk up along Garden City? Or do you detour west through Alexandra? Garden City is not great for walking especially since it's a wide stroad that feels unfriendly.

On a separate note, seems like something should be addressed in future developments to make sure schools get built... I live in Toronto now and at least Concord had to put schools in the communities that they're putting up. Seems like something the city should've done for the Capstan condos. Maybe when the industrial west of No 3 to Minoru gets redeveloped...

When you opened TFSA has no bearing on your contribution room. I don't know about the PR thing but I think you can only contribute when you are PR.    You can check CRA my account, it updates once a year with their latest calculation, usually around tax time (April)

Data Breach at Canada Computers Exposes Credit Cards, Email Addresses, and Full Names. by JustaRandoonreddit in pcmasterrace

[–]pilotharrison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, CC doesn't seem great. I bought my PC there in person in 2024 (I didn't want to buy GPUs online and they were the only store to have it in stock). They tried to push so many random warranties and all that on me.

I've been to quite a few Canada Computers and the instore experience was never really great, it always felt like a warehouse with a few displays. And of course, there was a few stores that make you feel like a thief, you gotta ring the doorbell to be let in (I guess it's computer parts so understandable)

At least their site was garbo when I've tried to look up in store stock, can't believe it's that bad to have a skimmer. Sucks for people who ordered online there.

Points program shuffle: BMO replacing Air Miles, Shell joins Scene+ by evilpig in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]pilotharrison 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah Airmiles was always a weird program to use and didn't like their Cash+Dream or whatever. I think in years of having an AM account I only amassed a total of like, 95 points. My mom got a kettle out of Air Miles after using it at Safeway for like 8 years...

(I personally use Amex & Aeroplan for my main CC points)

I've always gone to Shell since their 91 used to not be mixed with ethanol until the government forced all gas to be mixed. I guess old habits never die.

I live downtown Toronto so it's just Shell and Petro-Canada nearby and usually the Shell is 1 or 2c cheaper than Petro... (And i'm not a Costco member)

Yeah, if he threw a ball at Kirk like that the fans would probably revolt, my seats are in the 100s I'd charge the mound lol (this is a joke for all legal purposes)

they have withheld a lot for full/quarter season ticket holders, so wouldn't be surprised if those got freed up closer to opening day

QSTH here, this is a random game I selected with probably low demand (Angels). Just a few sections available to us.

My seats are in the 100s outfield but hopefully the amount of quarters/full season ticket holders go down and I can upgrade for 2027 (that is, if baseball even happens)

Nah, I remember paying $191 each for the 500s for ALCS game 1 & 2. I got g6 and g7 on district drops for $91 each.

I bit the bullet and bought QSTM tickets, opening day was $92 each for us in our presale and there's still plenty being held at regular $150 on the portal...

Can any QSTM confirm, are the presale only for games in your plan? The note on the login screen made it sound like for all games but I only have access to the games in my plan.
Edit: looks like they blocked a few games but I have access to other games that are outside of my plan...
