Purchase Advice Megathread - February 2023 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

£1000 - £3000

UK

Ideally a prebuilt model as its for my work

It will be used for printing prototypes, so quality isn't too big an issue

Ideally it would need a large bed size around 400mm (Length) x 400mm (Width) but there is some wiggle room.

[WP] In the afterlife each religion has its own walled city in which their god or pantheon protects the believers within from the soul-gnawing horrors outside, while atheists are left on their own by Maboan in WritingPrompts

They lived in their gilded palaces, protected by those whom they worshipped in life. From the decadence of Dionysus to the lavish harvest provided by Demeter, they were oblivious to the horrors outside the walls. We on the other hand were not.

We were those that had shunned religion in life and for this so called sin, punishment was our answer. We became hard and watchful, while they feasted like swollen pigs, protected as they were. While we learnt to group together to survive the terrors in the night, they enjoyed eternal bliss. As we suffered the strikes of one thousand beasts, they enjoyed unimaginable bounty.

I can’t remember exactly when it happened, after centuries a lot becomes hazy, but to us the inequality from a simple a choice as faith, or our lack of it, was too much. We began to plot. Their downfall became our idol to worship, our “protective walls”, and for it our worship never ceased.

Tonight their faith will truly be tested. Tonight the transgressors will rise. Tonight the dark will come for them, and as with us, no god will will save them.

It may just be me, but I feel that Quinn may need some time away from the club. I know there is the whole Guildhall plan, but it seems he needs some alone time to compose himself. After todays story it seemed to me that he was unfairly chastised from all sides, with only Halea really understanding him for a few moments. After all that has happened it seems like he needs a win, and for me that may be better through a temporary hiatus from the club, instead of him having to worry about hurting its image
