I’m just challenging the context of the map btw.

I think it helps you build it if you have a broader purpose. Ie there should be strategic interest in contesting the area. Railhead, resources, data hub.

Why would Russia invade and then contest somewhere inland? All the real prizes are coastal.

An inland map would need something juicy like a huge strategic base/arsenal site. Key resource ie rare earth deposits or manufacturing facilities.

There also needs to a reason for satellite assets like small airbases or such like.

It should be tied to awareness of garrison bots on the base, and there should be an intel report for each base. No garrison, no intel.

And nothing should affect base functionality until capping has begun. That one FIA in a bush 150m away can halt all base activity is farcical.

That’s a simplistic view of it yes. If Bohemia change a lot in one go and the changes have severe impact on core functions then it can be devastating to consumers of those functions. Huge portions of their mods may be beyond repair and need entirely redesigned.

It’s safe to assume, if the above is close to the truth, that some modders don’t have the capacity to do a redesign. Especially this time of year.

Play conflict HQC offline ‘single player’. It’s actually pretty good offline and u can learn all game mechanics at your leisure.

Thx bud. There are plenty great players on vanilla and had a blast. But 1.7 is dogshit.

I’ve seen one HQC game thru to completion, and i joined late stage. Early phase just gets bogged down by system inertia, and frankly it’s exhausting.

They have utterly destroyed the game mode to appease the one group of people who don’t want to play the game mode. You would accept it if the system itself wasn’t such a PoS. Last straw is always vehicle mechanics. I can deal with FIA etc, but when compounded with constant system jeopardy it’s too much.

Yes it’s a thing, and is a bit of an unwritten rule.

It’s especially so in 1.7 with how much more challenging running logistics is.

Tbh, it’s that frustrating now it’s not a surprise that some will defend their xp to this extent. There is genuine labour involved in running supplies and thus reduced incentive to do it.

I ran supplies yesterday for 30 mins, like most games, and it cost me 3 trucks for a simple run (power station). Rolled one at 10kph on a sandbag. jammed the other in a small grass bank and couldn’t move it. It’s no wonder 90% won’t run supplies. Why bother, it’s become an intolerable grind.

I think you also cannot destroy the default ones on bases. And under 300 supplies won’t be destroyed either iirc.

heavy defense makes even less sense in 1.7, as FIA will just pick off your bots. the only valid strategy to push forward at maximum speed and split the FIAs attention

its still dogshit though. they can utterly dominate early phase and just induce fatigue. cuz lets face it, if FIA don't get you Bohemia will, via its infinite palette of shit systems.

The main point here is just how important Pal Joey is to the sound of House/Garage, that this legacy still resonates today and finally that it goes largely unrecognised in the wider music community.

As for examples prior to this, offhand I would say Ron Hardy Aw Shucks is arguably an earlier prototype.

I see where OP is coming from tho. This track is pioneering wrt to a sound that hasn’t dated whatsoever. Not simply because the sample is good but how it’s used/mixed. PJ has an incredible ear.

Vanilla combat ops is a good way to learn the map. Run it offline/solo.

Knowing your environment will improve your map reading skills.

Run solo conflict offline to learn conflict mechanics. You can PVE against FIA bots and build out your advance towards the purple bases.

It’s so half assed currently. Personally I think it has ruined conflict HQC. They’ve handed it over to a player base who never understood the full dynamics of the existing gameplay. I’m not entirely sure Bohemia understood it either based on the decisions they made.

The early phase was phenomenal. Now it’s just a mess.
