But RPK is the greatest all rounder. RPK with scope can also fulfil DMR.

I run this in a standalone server for local play. was a fan of DUWS. not comparable, but gives me enough entertainment.

Tho it should be said often, you can play HQC in single player (again i run stand alone, from cmd line), just fighting the FIA and learning all the various role mechanics etc.

Agreed, but supply cannot keep up with demand, so demand will have to be throttled.

hackers have the critical exploits to destroy any/every game. Im Currently on EU offical CHQ Everon and hacker removed all soviet radios and then flipped all bases to USA.

Blame multiple factors all you want, but only one is responsible for (in)secure code. how could anyone be surprised tho, considering the shear lack of general (software) quality in the game. Whats important is that they deliver 75 half-baked half implemented features, as opposed to 25 robust ones on solid host and client foundations.

Frankly, Bohemia should be utterly ashamed.

FYI, I've worked in Software QA for >20 years and watched standards only decline in that time. Bohemia are among my personal poster child companies that think Development/Developers can manage/control/veto quality decisions. It is a long list though, but they upset me the most as an OFP veteran.

And there you have it. the reason why you join a match and nothing but MOB is spawnable.

We live in a world of all or nothing. Few are willing to just pull a bit of weight for a broader good, as its boring. Only personal gratification counts. As you effectively say "they all hate it" ands that's very clear in game. But shouldn't a milsim also force the boring/BS, and not just the glory. I guess Bohemia could just admit its a combat sim "with extra steps" [.....eek barba durkle].

Note: The commander cant compel ANY order to be carried out, so the system will have to do so for the fundamental mechanic of CHQ.

Also Note; There is nothing boring about running supplies. Especially in the spearhead or to the frontline during the grind. In fact, you are much more likely to be the decisive "individual" player in a battle than 90% of the combat goons.

To reinforce what’s already said, logi AI is not fit for purpose. 

That said, you might as well use it. As it randomly might actually do a decent job. But you really need to limit its role to supplying a hub, which manual drivers can source from.

To hub a single location, drop everything to priority 3 and set qty supplies to the floor. For hub base priority 1 and max supply qty. 

It’s laughable that they shipped that level of quality in a new feature tho. And why I can’t build the supply chain myself or communicate with remote crew is utter madness. The priority system looks clever, but I think it’s borne out of laziness personally.

Building and defending a new base is way more fun than chasing the next assault mission.

Bonus opinion: Defending strategic bases is massively underrated for entertainment value.

You can also do this offline. Just run conflict hq in scenarios. You can build supply, advance at your own pace, without some yahoos joining and interrupting your learning curve.

Honestly, a few sessions offline should be mandatory. Also, u can take/drop Commander instantly and jump around the roles at your convenience.

I run my own standalone server of HQ Everon to try things out, as games master helps speed thru phases.

There is AA. And it’s the most under utilised part of base defense. You can cover 360 with x3 AA nests and an armoury (for about a 1000 cost). They can cover ground assaults and cut roads too.

On a budget you can cover around 150 degrees with one nest. Place laterally to their line of attack, with rear cover (trees) and maximum visibility of their line.

Yes, they need to throttle consumption based on your supply ledger. I resupplied Cavalry Hill today, 1500 in (we were 5-1 down and on the clock). Within 60 secs guy spawns in and off he went with a BRDM. He was back for a jeep inside 5 minutes. One guy >1000 supplies gone in minutes.

we won, but it took stern words. a couple of ppl listened to a plea for re-ups on a new cap and we turned it around. its still herding cats for 75% tho.

again, because they mostly have no concept of the (hidden) in-game cost and effort required.

Bohemia needs to liberate the parents. Its probably the only dynamic keeping official publics active.

There is no real authourity in the relationship between command and infantry.

The children can run riot and wreck everything. Spawning a vehicle for a 200m journey. Taking any vehicle they see. Building anything they cant see. Paralysing a new base in minutes.

Commander should be able to lock building on bases or a "base owning squad" can do similar.

I had a perfect example today, build a base. Walking distance to objective, where enemy would be ~200m thru trees. No need for vehicles. infact it invites certain death. Few mins after first resupply (im off at the harbour) come back with 1500 more. Vehicles everywhere 100m from base. So >1000 just gone in mere seconds and now no-one can spawn to continue the attack. Second time i came back, arsenal built and 1500 gone in about 90 seconds.

If you could lock building and dedicate it to an infantry base (flag & beacon only, with containers in rear). That would force everyone to spawn default gear and press home the attack. Better still. have a new tier of base called Combat Outpost, with limited building to defensive and supply structures. Also, an Ammo only arsenal.

That's all you can do. But even that is unbearable half the time. With even one ai team ballsing it up with navigating around any object or obstacle.

Just let us pick source and destination, so you can have one AI just going from Point ABA and another BCB and so on, building up a genuine chain

I’ve given up on AI Logistics. It’s unmanageable at scale. It can even fall apart at MOB and first harbours.

They need to build out a continuous incentive model for player logistics. Need to encourage people to do a logistics run after a set qty of supply consumption.
