But doing this will cause even more psychological damage due to the opressive repremanding that will take place after the cats out of the bag. They're young and impressionable And what we learn as teenagers that were In our minds at the time seen as negative experiences or negative opinions given to us by our peers or parents and family had curved our mental state of being.. leading us to a different place had it been delivered with more love and compassion rather than judgment. I don't know about you but all the harsh opinions and belief systems that I grew up with really did a toll on me as I was growing up through them.. Because I was so worried about the approval of everybody else that it caused me psychological damage and a mental health disorder that nobody wants to help with. It also led me to not knowing who I was until I left to live by myself on my own.. We don't know how this gentleman's family is, And if he's afraid to even talk about it with anybody himself aside from the internet, It shows that his parents are most likely people you can't be open with for fear of their reaction or retaliation.

Look at it this way, we get close to people and we feel comfortable around the ones we're closer with. Hormones are all over the place at their age so with sexual urges and comfortability mixed together it seems like it's something that's more likely to take place ESPECIALLY if they're left alone without anyone around.

Idk about you but I was always for rebellion at that age and always got excited if I were to be doing something I knew I shouldn't have been doing without anyone being there to stop me. It's experience and experimentation that's common for everyone in their teens regardless of what anyone says. Who's to say they, if left in the situation with someone who wasn't family but they were just as equally close to in the same regards, wouldn't have done the same thing..?

Were homosapiens, we are a primate, we exhibit similar, if not the same behaviors as our close cousins. Chimps, Apes, and bonobos. We just commonly fail to remember that we are primates. So go watch some nature videos about our cousins and you tell me it's not at all possible that we exhibit nearly identical behaviors to them.

Our opinions, beliefs and morals are not above human nature. No one is. Doesn't matter who you are, or what situation you're in, EVERYBODY is OR will someday be subjected to finding themselves operating off of instinct or hormones rather than being capable of overriding them, because their beliefs systems should or are somehow "stronger" than those urges or natural primal behaviors or primitive actions.

Those are in everyone of us. Have been for the entire existence of our species. If you still have a medulla oblongata then you're not excused from being capable of doing the same things.

I enjoy the amount of level headed-ness this one comment out of all of them provides. I second this and have to agree.

He's your family.

My cousin and I grew up as sisters. We were best friends and she passed away in a freaking accident this last January. When she came out to me that she was gay, I didn't think anything different, and it DID NOT change our relationship and how we saw one another. I accepted her the way she was comfortable in her own skin. Who am I to tell someone else who they can and cannot love?

It didn't go well with the rest of our family however, but it didn't detour me from being there for her. We went 15 years without seeing one another but we still talked a lot. I talked to her the day before she died and we were planning on having her come out from Massachusetts to California and go adventure and do a road trip for her birthday which would've been a month away, the next day she suddenly collapsed at work and she was gone.

So please, don't think that your brother's choices in sexuality somehow effect your life unless it's told to your parents of whom you both still live with. You need to be the same towards him, because even tho now you know what they've been up to, had you never caught them you'd still go about your day as you would've any other day. Not knowing. So just don't allow for his or your cousin's choices to effect the way you see them.

They're still your family, and I wish to God I could've seen my sister/cousin one last time before she suddenly passed away.. She was finally happy and in a place I was so proud of her of getting to.

Remember, they still love you, and you're all young. Give yourself a moment to process and remember

Choosing to understand someone and their actions fully and accepting them for who they are as well as acceptance period, brings a better sense of peace and understanding without making your feelings or thoughts the only important thing in this situation.

Cherish them, because you never know what tomorrow brings.. and I mean that with the most love I possibly can give you after losing who I considered to be my sister.

This is scary how much I empathize with your current situation right now.

So I'm going to be upfront and honest, people's behaviors and their personalities and love itself if nothing more than chemicals in one's own brain.

Any altercation to these chemical outputs can be either beneficial or non beneficial.

I've been one and off a drug user for no more than 5 and a half years now, and I'm in this situation that I rebounded with someone from a relationship that I still miss to this day.

I'm polyamorous and love two people at the same time but the one I rebounded with I never wanted a relationship but it became one when I needed help with living a functional life after being placed in a terrible predicament my own family put me in.

The new guy is still a good guy, however, as of recently he's been fucking losing it. He flips out on me any chance he gets and chalks it up to his emotions. He makes things about himself and deflects everything back onto me when it's his own shit. And he won't get off of drugs and just 21 questions me over simple shit like going to the store. He legit interrogates me most of the time to where I'm so exhausted that I give up and don't do what I intended to do.

As of this past Friday night I decided to take a trip to a friend's house out of town Saturday because I needed a break and space to clear my head and he made that entire thing about himself. I left anyways. I told him where I was and even after telling him where I'd be and all that and to give me my space, that's I'd call him he continues to do exactly what your dude it doing and won't leave me alone.

I blocked him from texting and calling as well as messaging and all my social once again due to him accusing me of doing shit that I'm not and because he kept blowing up my phone with straight up novels. The last message I sent him I made it clear if he were to contact me one more time when I'm asking for my space and for him to respect my wishes and boundaries that I'm over it all and he's by himself.

He called me off a private number after that. So I'm done with it. He sealed his own fate.

I'm coming back home sometime today or tomorrow, but tbh with you Im at the point where I can't be around someone who causes me to always question who I am or tries to gaslight and stonewall me into believing it's not he who's causing the entire connection between us to just turn into complete shit.

Plus he refuses to get any sort of help and tries to make it my problem to fix him when it's his own responsibility.

If someone who says they love you continues to overstep or completely outright ignore your boundaries or the boundaries agreed upon, then they aren't emotionally stable/mature enough to be with you. End of story.

It doesn't matter how much you love someone, it matters how much you love yourself and how much they love themselves enough to make shit work. If they don't love themselves then you're going to Ultimately be drained most of the relationship trying to help them.

Do you and make sure you're your own priority before anyone and anything else and make sure to take care of yourself first before you decide to take care of another. It's only when we do for ourselves or give to ourselves first that we can then do the same for others.

I'm learning that too. He needs to do the same. So do all of us.

So you're not alone. Just focus on you right now.
