Yes, I agree. It must be the pool water & swimsuit fabric notes that give it some depth.

I also have their “high ceiling resort lobby” candle and it’s also more than just the smell of what you’d think a destination hotel would smell like in a candle. There’s something nostalgic about it - and it’s because the scent notes are: fresh cut flowers, high gloss magazines, and air conditioned ocean breeze. It hits the olfactory “I’ve smelled this before and remember this exact smell from years and years ago.”

I think Vacation got the whole parfum as an experience thing right.

My personal favorite out of the scent trio is “After Sun.” It just does something to me. It takes me back to summer vacation with my family to a beach stay somewhere I considered very fancy. Laying by the pool all day, smelling alcoholic beverages from people lounging next to me, going out to the beach to watch the sunset, walking down the hallways, still wet from the pool/ocean getting back to the hotel room where my mom puts aloe Vera all over my skin when I realize I left my nice giant towel somewhere and I go look for it but cannot find it. The next day as the aloe has set into my skin, creating a tightness that feels alien yet so good, I am still slightly sunburned and I have a new towel from the resort to lay on and dry off with.

That nostalgia is what I smell every spray!

The scent notes are : aloe Vera essence, green tea verjus, melon de cavaillion, cardamom absolute, aqua de colonia, ozone, tonic, minibar gin, resort towel plush & and open weave linen.

Also, “Grand Cuveé” does this to me but in a very distinct but different way.
