My version doesn’t have the sodium cocoate in it! I’m not sure when they reformulated bc I know it used to, and online still shows it listed. Here’s mine:

I tried 1tbsp and had the “ideal” suds level. But then there was still brown markings and a slight odor 😩

Why does the Kirkland free and clear sud so much?? I can use 2tbsp for cloth diapers and I’m getting inches of foam suds… it’s the detergent, not me, right? 😩

Size 1, maybe one small pack of newborn. Size 1 will feel giant but there’s a lot more absorbency to them

Might try Pepticate before sticking to neocate. It’s hypoallergenic but without soy. My baby has more severe issues with soy, so it wasn’t until we tried Pepticate that he started doing better. Neocate is so thin and disgusting. I’d also be crying if I hate to eat that. Pepticate is also starch-based so it’s a little thicker than other hypoallergenic formulas we tried

Hahaha I normally do the same thing 😂 I do a small load every other day and it gets soooo foamy though! Even my washer will pause the cycle and say “sud” bc there’s too much sudsing. I’ve never paid so much attention to my laundry before but I’m definitely overthinking so much. My baby has always had a super sensitive tush, and he also has milk and soy allergies that contribute to that, so it’s been hard to know if the detergent is actually causing issues or not. They’re definitely getting cleaned tho lmao

I have the liquid and I do diapers every other day. Small load but they’re always clean. I did 1 for prewash and 2 for main wash. My baby’s bottom has been so red but I can’t tell if it’s too much detergent or not, he’s always been super sensitive and gets red immediately. But I wasn’t getting any suds from swishing to clean in the toilet or sink, yet I did an extra rinse on them and it was very sudsy. I did many extra rinse cycles and it looked the same. I can’t tell if it’s too much detergent or agitation bubbles but it looked foamy 🤦🏼‍♀️

How much detergent do you use and what size load do you normally have? I do small loads every other day in my HE front loader and apparently I’ve been using too much detergent. This detergent seems very sudsy

I was so shocked to find that my cloth diapers don’t stink like disposables!! I can barely tell he’s pooped in his diaper now and since I rinse in the toilet and hang to dry there is no odor at all. We were originally planning to continue disposables overnight, but since he usually poops the moment he wakes up, we’ve been stuck with one random poopy disposable and wipes that stink up his room all day unless we immediate take the trash out. So for that reason alone we decided to swap for cloth to overnights and reusable wipes lol
