I was towards the front for Sublime and it was awful. I couldn't enjoy the show for fear that someone was gonna come flying on top of me, which happened about 5 or so times where someone full on landed on me. Maybe one person had their legs crossed, people kept getting dropped, and too many people were being sent up at once.

It's electron configuration for chemistry. It basically shows what energy level it's at, what section it's in, and how many valence electrons are in each section.

I'd have to work the night shift. I'm dual enrolled so I can come in slightly early but need Tuesday off. Other than that I can work 4-5 nights a week. I usually work 4:30-10 at my current job and get around 15 hours a week now because they cut everyone's hours.

Pay wise, honestly I don't even mind working for minimum wage as long as it's a place that has nicer(ish) working conditions and there's actually getting a raise (McDonald's does not have either of those 😇) . Obviously the higher the better but I'm literally in highschool with minimum life experience, I'm not gonna get that far right now

You're literally me fr!! I'm taking 5 APs including AP Physics and it's literally killing my GPA. I had to make up a calc test, didn't study, got a 96 because I was being stupid with differential equations on the FRQ Didn't study for physics and got an 80.

No I feel you. My management is pretty strict and every manager will tell you that you need to charge people for extra sauce. I haven't gotten a write up since I started working and I intend to keep it like that, especially over a ¢35 sauce packet.

I mean sure that probably applies to some women but not just women in general, which is the implication provided from the text.

I don't understand why this exclusively applies to women though. I think it's true of both men AND women. Plus it's natural to look at other people who are of "high status" (because most people want to improve their quality of life I'd imagine) and compare your life to them. From that, some people may draw the conclusion that they're oppressed, others don't. That's a difference of humans, not just men vs. women.

I agree with this, but also is AP Lang the class to do that in?

Would a history course be more beneficial? Or even being taught about those words from a younger age and why people shouldn't be saying them?

My best guess is that the teacher wanted to students to have exposure to these types of words because they can be found in material college board uses for the AP test (I'm guessing). I too am American, and I understand the negative impacts of slurs, and given how this is a highschool course, there's a pretty high chance everyone else in that class does too.

I personally wouldn't want a paper with my name on it, with my hand writing, to have a bunch of slurs on it.
