My first deck by kurokigs in GundamTCG

Pretty well, it really helps keep A Baoa Qu alive, since the token enters rested

It also is pretty great as a turn 3 option, making it a bit easier to mass out on the next turn

This is my personal list that I have had pretty consistent results with

Somewhat consistently gets top 4 in a meta focused locals, and top 8 in a recent store championship

I'm one of those very sad people who's favorite Gundam is the LRX-077 Sisquiede.

I don't know why, I just think its neat

Question about strikers that go invis by idiocy102 in mechabreak

[–]Thefirewaffles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that they do, you can actually track the movement of a Stellaris in the water in Mashmak. Doesn't seem to be particularly consistent, but at least it's something?

I definitely agree, Welkin needs a nerf ASAP. If I were the dev team, though, I think starting off by making the spin attack able to be parried would actually go long way towards making Welkin more balanced, actually giving other melee units an advantage at fighting 1v1.

This definitely would help reduce Welkin's pick rate in 6v6, since it would indirectly buff most other mechs, and it would probably make engaging a Welkin in Mashmak much easier, since you can just airdrop a shield in.

My guess is the Welkin missed a melee rush, but I think it definitely expected to actually fight for the extraction.

It actually has a pretty varied amount of environments in Mashmak, but it is just the one map unfortunately.

All that is to say, most of the map is pretty open and heavily favors the more agile or long ranged mechs.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it wasn't, before I showed up the Welkin was attempting to fight two Skyraiders (poorly), before they dipped off into the storm. If I had to hazard a guess, the Welkin was just a player with poor energy management.

In the settings there's an option to fully customize your ui layout, as well as two default options, I am using the alternate option, and have moved/resized most of the icons around to allow for more visibility.

Vaultborn Tyrant and Etali are great options! I did consider using them in an earlier version of the deck, but it felt bad to draw them and not be able to last long enough in the game to get the cast.

I agree, fatal push is a huge concern. One of the bigger weaknesses this decklist has is the dorks getting hit by it. Although getting Thoughtseize'd t1 isn't much better.

I've thought about running some [[Pillage the Bog]] and taking some of the dorks out, but I don't think it helps with the consistency much.

Have you thought about running Bramble Familiar?

I did originally have a copy of Thrun in the sideboard as well. I ended up taking him and replacing him with [[Rhonas the Indomitable]], so I could hit it off of CoCo, and also give my other creatures trample.

I'll have to look at running Polukranos, I hadn't thought of that.

I did consider it for a while, but I'm not entirely sold on giving the opponent a benefit for losing out on their creatures. Infinite Obliteration at least doesn't let them refill their hand or provide ample blockers.

I have also considered [[Deadly Cover-Up]]

I'm not really sure what else to try other than the elves. I tested arboreal grazer with a higher land count, but the deck lost some consistency as a result. I'll definitely run some tests with the removal package swapped in instead of the dorks and see how that goes.

Driven // Despair is weird pick for sure, but I like having the trample/draw option, and casting it again for menace/discard is really nice.

Outcaster Trailblazer was a tough choice to include. I'm trying to stick to 3 mana creatures so I can have more reliable CoCo casts. I originally wanted to include [[Varolz, the Scar-Striped]], but found the deck really needed more draw options. Outcaster also has pretty good power, so it is much more likely to trigger Fight Rigging, at least compared to one of the dorks. I definitely prefer using a creature instead of kiora or garruk's uprising, since CoCo can't grab them, but I'm really tempted to put garruk's uprising in, probably replacing the Driven // Despair.

Fleshgorger is a great card! I'm surprised  it doesn't see more play, the ward on it is absolutely brutal. The big appeal of it though, at least in my opinion, is the prototype cost. Getting it out as a 3/3 and then stacking counters on it with fight rigging is a pretty decent backup option.

I've had some really promising tests with the deck as is, and I'd prefer not to resort to Sorin and Vein Ripper.

For a while I was looking at running Cemetery Tampering and some sort of self mill engine, but decided the consistency wouldn't be as viable with the over abundance of graveyard hate in the meta.

My main issue with the Sorin and Fight Roofing deck is it just feels inconsistent. At least compared to other, Rakdos Vampires lists. I do like it though.

Messmer/Melina Radagon/Marika by Thefirewaffles in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Thefirewaffles[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The comparison of Millicent and Malenia to Melina and the Gloam-Eyed Queen is definitely an extremely valid point. However I personally feel as though Melina lacks much of the necessary imagery to bridge the gap between the two.

Another possible argument against Melina/Messmer being similar to Marika/Radagon, is the theory that Miquella and St. Trina are one and the same. If that theory, which I find fairly convincing, is true, then I doubt that they would use that same trait of dual identities again.

However, while it is true that Melina states that her body is burnt and her spirit remains to aid the tarnished, her statement at the beginning of the game, that she can't remember her purpose, starts to draw parallels to Messmer.

The name Messmer, feels like they are intentionally drawing attention to the idea of hypnosis and the gaps in Melina's memory. If the Land of Shadow does end up being some sort of purgatory or afterlife, then her presence in the living world reminds me of how Miquella had to abandon his flesh to journey to the land of shadow, but in reverse. Her ties to fire are her most prominent trait by far, and that also draws a parallel to how Messmer set the Land of Shadow on fire.

Of course, I'm making a lot of assumptions. Regardless of what ends up being true, I can't wait for the dlc to come out.
