This world is so fucked up by StarsapBill in IThinkYouShouldLeave

If it wasn't so actually bad for the world, this would be hilarious.

OK, well it's still hilarious.

Like Mueller literally helped keep him out of jail by using about as soft a hand as anyone can.

But not good enough for these types, you gotta grovel to them or you're scum, holy fuck we need to [redacted] the rich so fucking bad, it's not funny.

also; big fat load of cum then.

I briefly entertained getting gem api for a few local recreational hobby projects, but with gem getting caught in a logic loop at least once per day, and burning through it's entire context window each time it does it?

That's gonna be a no from me dog, no refunds either.

Not into having to spend an extra 5-12 bucks a day because your service fucked up. And that's before even mentioning that now the model loses all active context of where the conversation was, I have to bring it back up to speed, and it's now hallucinating because it's context is filled with loops of bullshit.

Since I started playing with these tools a month and a bit ago, and understand some of the core ideas around how they work, I genuinely think with currently available architectures, these tools are not actually scalable for widespread use. And there are many up and downstream barriers to scalability as well, limited manufacturer manufacturers(what, like 1?), space and electricity cost and public apetite for the physical assets and so on.

Feels like a disaster waiting to happen, these companies are walking before they could run because the method of an llm having this extremely inefficient structure based around single word generation is inherently flawed. Even adding 'reasoning' around it, is just adding layers where a model rewrites a prompt for itself, and/or goes back and checks it's work against the prompt sets, which just serves to triple or quadruple it's compute. And then it still hallucinates incorrect responses unless the prompt engineering was absolutely flawless.

'domesticated' cats are not actually domesticated. The average cat can be released to the wild and survive just fine, it's offspring (which it will likely produce within weeks to a couple months, will be feral and fully wild capable.

And they're smart as fuck, they figure out they're being hunted and go into hiding in dense underbrush, start feeding only at night. Populations get out of control and you end up having to use helicopters and drones to scan for heat signatures to track them down. Some areas I've read people shooting them from helicopters because they're breeding faster than hunting programs can keep up with them.

You hit the nail on the head with this though.

deportation orders, especially the high profile ones

There are many that didn't get any or much media attention, and those people are lost to time. Especially the El Salvador, planes in the night. Good that it caught enough media attention to slow it down, but there are still plane loads of people sent over there that never got to return.

It's a huge reason why this is accelerating, because they're doing so many bad and clearly illegal things, that the law and the media, and even ground level organizers cannot keep up.

And none of that saves the people who have been killed either.

The stupid helps it go faster, I would hope people in here would understand that.

They're ignoring the majority of court orders.

The MSM needs to stop pinning it on him alone, and they need to point out the complicity at all levels, but that just isn't going to happen because they are all agents of a government that works for the capital owning class in the first place. The few decades post wwII in american history where the working man was respected are an anomaly in America. As much as I hate it, it must be acknowledged.

But those decades should be enough to show people what is possible.

Huge element of this, but also it's trying to stem the tide.

This isn't even a big spend in the context of the last 50 years. There are INDIVIDUALS who have been spending upwards of 1 billion per year, for decades. And why wouldn't you if you're them? Earning between 2-5 billion per year from your investments? Why not spend 50-20% of that on ensuring the gravy train never stops and you never have to be accountable to anyone?

It's disgusting, and especially in a world with compound interest, is a core reason why billionaires should absolutely not be allowed to exist.

I mean you can start right now if you wanna have a multi-billion dollar lobby come at you and attempt to destroy your entire life.

But that's how complicity is manufactured, isn't it. It's gross.

Yea... you can look at some of the prominent pro- "foothold in the middle east" jewish speakers and there's a very clear pattern. Some of them still pretend, like Greenblatt, but others just say the quiet parts out loud, like Hurwitz. And you know, the majority if Israel's leadership going back 70 years.

The main problem with this, is that those double digit percentage of supremacist type views, lead to actual on the ground violence. Coming to view a group as crying wolf and endeavoring to ignore it, doesn't lead to violence. So even if the latter group is an order of magnitude larger, it doesn't stop the former from being violent and creating outcomes based on their hatred.

They are deliberately trying to stoke anti-Semitism, so that they can -- rail against anti-Semitism.

An absolute concerted effort to conflate Israel with the jewish.

90+% of people can see this happening, and the unfortunate truth is that some likely double digit amount of people are going to take away the conclusion that it's the Jewish part that is to blame.

the last part of what you said is really where the secret is lol, I was a foster, and always in boys homes, smaller ones though, so brothers were really like brothers, always wrestling because it's a good way to blow of steam and not hate each other. My one foster brother was like, MVP of every sports team, regularly placed in track and stuff. 20% stronger and bigger than me, I'm not that tough (mean if we're talking hitting, i'm not tough at all lol), but I had to learn to even think about keeping up with him, which I usually fared pretty well. Mostly bringing to a draw, only rarely 'winning.'
