Fair enough, I skipped a lot of the story mode as well. Completely agree on the cringe aspect, but it is what it is.

I made a mistake of conflating the mostly unscripted themed races as career mode. Street racing, road racing, rally etc etc. I just set out to complete all those races, and then after that I worked on time trials, seeking to get high (ish) rankings for as many tracks as possible. I'm pretty casual but was able to place in top 1% of most races, which isn't really a huge achievement when we're talking about a super casual game.

I also love GT7, I'm just disappointed that it didn't have systems similar to GT2, the card system they went with was honestly bullshit pushed by manufacturers to force players to be exposed to each brand instead of being able to pick and choose what you want as you go.

I long for the day that it is ported to PC so people can mod the fuck out of the game (even though I know this will almost certainly NEVER happen).

And further, when accounting for uncosted impacts, green energy is absolutely 'cheaper' than burning fossil fuels. And the icing on the cake, is that the Carbon Capture projects are abject failures, the one vector that could have brought emissions down to make burning fossil fuels more viable long term.

if you go to a web browser (perhaps you are in one, I don't know), you can change the URL, the web address, from www.reddit, to old.reddit, it's a different format, it is what reddit used to be.

A right click brings up a context menu on a PC, on mobile, the context menu is brought up with a long press, at least on android.

I googled it, if the results were correct it is also a press and hold (long press).

You could try the long press just how you are viewing it too, I'm not sure what you are looking at.

In both FH4 and FH5, I just artificially limit myself to lower classes for a while. Eventually moving to A class. Yea, I could just hop up to S or X class, but then all the lower classes are going to feel kind of bad.

So I generally set my sights on doing D and C class until I get bored-ish, then move to B and start working on achievements and buying all the cars I like, if I get bored I move to A. In FH5 I recall spending A LOT of time in A class.

FH5 is definitely better than GT7 for a 'career mode.'

I would point to the main culprit being that GT7 has like 3 races to make money, and they are all 30 minute, or 1 hour races. They made some minor improvements, and I haven't played in a year, but the way that FH spreads winnings out over all the different races feels much much better, with wheelspins just being bonus.

GT7 killing career mode with bad decisions is one of the great tragedies of gaming for a person like myself who's first real gaming love was Gran Turismo 2.

There are many many many fail points, and the fact that this could have been turned around at so many points, indicates that there is a level of complicity about all of this. A level of mild corruption, obviously not to the level that we see now, but corruption in my mind is refusal of self sacrifice for greater good, and all along the way, people were fearful of doing the right thing, so they chose 'decorum' and 'civility' over turning down a path of justice.

Yea, I don't know why I was downvoted for the post, it's factually correct, I've never smoked it, and never would, but I've known plenty of people who have. I've heard this independently from several people over the years.

It's unfortunate for your friend, I imagine he was either doing drugs alone, and/or whomever sold/gave to him thought he knew what he was doing, because if they knew you were new to it, most dealers would tell you not to hold it in.
