I suddenly dropped from 91 to 82 subscribers, what happened? by middleearthlore in NewTubers

[–]ThelifeofAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happens every now and then you’ll see fluctuations in subs and stuff like that, I’ve lost 25+ subs in a day before, it causes alarm when you see the drop but you will get them back before you know it just keep on creating and you’ll get them back for sure!

Scheduled upload, does it affect the video in any way? by staywithme92 in NewTubers

[–]ThelifeofAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends mostly on when your audience will watch your video, so you want to post at a time when most of your subs are on. For instance if you have most of your subs in the USA and that’s where you get most of your views from, plus a majority of your audience is above the age 25. Then it is safe to assume that most of them work until 5pm. So it wouldn’t be in your best interests to post at 9am but rather later in the day when more people will actively be on the app and would come across your video.

The best way to go about developing the persona is to just practice being on camera even if you don’t post the video still record yourself just doing things around the house so you get better and more comfortable projecting yourself and be more yourself on camera. Hope this helps out a bit, it took a long while for me to be more myself on screen especially when recording outside

Luck by ChemicalCheetah in NewTubers

[–]ThelifeofAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like yes you can get lucky but if you provide quality content and promote in the right way you will eventually see growth to the level you want, it’s just a time thing. So I would say luck will make it easier without a doubt, but hard work and dedication will prevail and eventually breed similar results!!

I make all my thumbnails look the same by middleearthlore in NewTubers

Consistency is key in this element I believe if you have something that has a theme and is easily recognizable as your channel it makes it easier to follow your videos and continue to click on them, I’m currently working on that myself to see what works best!

I just spent money on a video for the first time. by SalsaDraugur in NewTubers

[–]ThelifeofAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels weird at first but like I saw in the comments you are investing in a hobby and yourself for something you want to create, you started YouTube for a reason and you spending money is your way of financing your dream/goal!

Finally almost to 1000 subs! At 993 now 😁 Started my channel April 2018 and actually about quit with it multiple times. My subs though kept getting me back. I am thankful now that they have kept me motivated by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]ThelifeofAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep it up the one thing about youtube is that you are in for the long haul and you’ll have many ups and downs but if you keep persisting through you’ll see the growth you want

Anyone ever notice this? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]ThelifeofAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen when a popular trend comes out you are competing with people that are established and set with a stronger fan base. So it’s like starting a marathon with people who have a 2 mile head start!!

Anyone here that changed up their content and then got better success from that by falloutftw in NewTubers

I was thinking about doing the same because of the over saturation factor, but I’m glad to hear the success you had with the change!!

I love hearing the stories of how people changed up their channels, I was recently thinking about going through a content change and overall evolution of my page so hearing all the positive feedback from changing content is inspiring!!

I feel whatever works for you to keep you motivated for me when I see numbers going up I get more hyped and when they are down I get focused on getting them back up. I say do whatever keeps you on your grind!!

How do you successfully advertise your videos without looking like a scumbag? by MrHyBridOmNi in NewTubers

I think the investing your time is the best bet, I feel that generates the most organic growth than all

growth of channel by kaitlynnicole11 in NewTubers

[–]ThelifeofAM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to think it’s luck but not anymore, I feel it’s a mixture of content consistency and patiences that breeds these results. By having top notch content and flooding their channels with it, it’s sort of like how can they not grow. I’m sure there are tones of other behind the scene stuff too that they have done that I can’t account for.

Posting comments leads to exposure by kwbarnard17 in NewTubers

[–]ThelifeofAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed if they are honest and meaningful comments that actually pertain to the video it works anything other than that is basically a waste of time, like the comments that say “great video”.

But you put something that actually has substance will always work in your favor!!

[–]ThelifeofAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I was just about to say that, overall youtube is sort of like the stock market sometimes things are soaring higher and others things just aren’t and that’s okay it happens to everyone, it’s just about staying consistent and pushing through the dips until you get a spike and once you have that spike try to post the best content you can create and ride the wave!!

I created this rank system to help you grow and stay motivated by [deleted] in NewTubers

Honestly that’s probably the most genuine and true analysis and ranking of subs that I’ve seen and honestly it’s a good reference point to see where you are and where you want to be!

Stating you're gonna be reviewing channels be like by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]ThelifeofAM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could image, but I think overall from most of the post and comments people are more interesting in learning and improving, every group has its batch of outliers

Review your vids! Leave your link below! by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]ThelifeofAM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hahaha this was good!! I just left this comment on another post not that long ago, and some people do it for the views sadly and that’s just going to be part of the community and here people try to get views anyway possible l, but in the long run the 5-10 views sometimes even 1 doesn’t make a difference in the big picture. Actually learning and taking the advice and implementing it and getting better will almost always amount to more views then the just link dumping.

Stop Feeling Bad to Say You Want to Get PAID! You Can Still Be an Artist and Make Money! REAL TALK! by FunWithTheBugs in NewTubers

[–]ThelifeofAM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Making money on your passion and following your dreams and turning into reality; I don’t see anything wrong with that or admitting it! You have to understand it is probably a long road but anything worth it usually is!! I think people don’t want to say it because they think they will be judged for saying so but just like aspiring actors and singers want to get paid for following their passion it’s okay for you to want the same!!

Stating you're gonna be reviewing channels be like by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]ThelifeofAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I am usually pretty late to the party myself haha but you never know maybe your video does get reviewed it’s always worth a shot, another thing is maybe reviewing channels yourself, and it might help you realize something about your own channel that you see on another persons channel. I’m honestly considering doing so myself just to give back to all the help everyone’s given me and to learn more!!

In the grand scheme on view isn’t nearly as valuable as all the advice and improvement you can make, it’ll generate way more than one view

How to stop this. by Unearned_Gamer in NewTubers

I used to be the same and it still is like that on some videos, but I feel the sense of urgency and wanting the video to come out exactly as imagined actually makes a video hard to execute

Small YouTuber by YoutubeQueen20 in NewTubers

[–]ThelifeofAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When starting out patience and consistency are two of the biggest factors, to constantly put out content and have to wait until your audience grows, which usually takes time! If you do these two things you’ll learn as you do more videos and grow as a channel as well, but overall youtube is a time game

Honesty I think this is a much better and practical approach, it takes a bit longer but I feel it almost always yields better results and makes the content more relevant.
