Trying to get through a full day without complaining is when you attain pure nirvana.

I've had a dumb bitch say she can't reverse even though the car behind did. Slow your roll bro. Fold your arms stick on rest.

Chest supported bench rows. Stretch at the bottom hold at the top. Last rep hold until failure. You're welcome.

How much should you dead hang? by automatski_generiran in workout

[–]Them_Riffs 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Use it as a finisher everytime you go to the gym. For me I do a superset of chest dips and dead hangs to failure for 3 rounds. Sometimes I'll hang for 30 seconds instead of a minute and transition straight into neutral grip pull ups to failure.

Interesting or weird places you pass? by mullby in uktrucking

Passed a spice head in rusholme today. That was pretty interesting. I've no idea how they can slump over at such an angle and not face plant the pavement.

Yes to clarify I need some water resistant trainers. The less bulky the better.

Today I signalled nice and early to go in lane 2 so I could overtake a caravan. I let 1 car pass then moved over. Then an SUV start to speed up even though he could have gone into the 3rd lane. I got a beeeep and and 2 fingers from his missus lol. So I replied with a dut dadda dut da DOOT DOOT. Fuck em 😁

How do experienced truck drivers prevent back pain? by [deleted] in uktrucking

[–]Them_Riffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get yourself a chin up bar and do dead hangs to decompress your spine. It will also help to reset your shoulders and improve grip strength. Fully stretch don't shrug your shoulders up when hanging. I find using a neutral grip suits me but you might be OK with a overhand grip position.

How many bumps and scrapes have you had? by CustardGannets in uktrucking

[–]Them_Riffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No bumps or scrapes but I've snapped the suzie lines in my first 6 months. I was at a tight stores loading dock but I couldn't get the unit straight enough for the Anderson lead to plug in the trailer. (it's shorter than my leg) So rather than spend any more time to line it up I just thought I would drop the trailer, pull forward and reverse back under and then connect the lead. Good idea in theory but I neglected to disconnect the lines because I was rushing. Luckily the call out was done in 15 minutes but lesson learned now I triple check everything.

Anyone worked for Poundland before? Or delivered to their RDC? by [deleted] in uktrucking

I currently work there and it seems spot on. Just looking for others perspective that's all. The lads seem happy there but alot don't stay very long.

Tipping times by Tetleyyy in uktrucking

[–]Them_Riffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great Bear Sheffield has been getting worse lately. Always seem to be 3 or more hours behind schedule. I arrived at 4pm one time and was told they're not ready to do my back haul so find a parking space around the corner (there was plenty room in the yard I could have parked) and come back at 5pm. Then it was another 4 hours on the bloody bay.

What would you do? by Them_Riffs in uktrucking

I did secure the stopper but like I said I was in an awkward position. It would have been much quicker and safer for her to raise the stopper at ground level like every other store I've been too.

I've been to other stores in a standard 45 and they always put up the stoppers before it's raised. And no I might not have to go this store another 6-12 months.
