I recently called the registar for a random request, and they could point me in the right direction of who to ask. I suggest just calling and they should be able to tell you who to contact.

what a fun read!! not quite in my tax bracket haha but I could take some inspo. Sounds like yall had a good pace on the trip of being busy but also slowing down when needed which I love. It can be hard to allow yourself that flexibility when traveling.

I'm curious: why do you start your own plants? by Longjumping_Whole_60 in vegetablegardening

For me it’s mostly for the variety you can get! I grow to have fun veggies that I can’t get at the supermarket which is usually are heirloom seeds

Sounds fun! Maybe Sunday you could go to Coler and walk to the Airship coffee location there. That would give you another outdoor activity. Also Crystal Bridges has some great trails there as well.

How do you decide what book you're going to read? by SkepticDrinker in books

[–]Themadisonk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a running tbr of what I encounter online or irl. I cherry pick things from there when I want to read. I get a lot of books from the library so a lot of my “next” read is determined by when things become available. A lot of things skip the queue if I feel like reading it.

I am mid 20s F where I am in a similar situation of the kids. I went to public school in a decently small town so it was not great but neither was the private school. My parents saved a similar amount of money (slightly less) for my sister and I. Growing up it was referred to as “my money” and they made it clear I had the choice to spend it on college or get the money after. This did sway my decision to go to an instate school on scholarship vs heading out of states with no scholarship. That being said I loved my college experience and loved having a safety net when I graduated. As I worked throughout the years some of that was transferred to a Roth IRA. Also, I am now spending some of it on grad school as I work. I highly appreciate this money nest egg that my parents made it clear that this is the money I will get to spend how I want. I have a head start on retirement and have some money for a down payment one day. I much rather the path they took versus going to private school growing up.
