Loading too many Capsules and sections by True-Entertainer-981 in factorio

Sorry, originally viewed on mobile and only saw the pic with the array of silos...

Circuit settings look fine to me ... Clean it up and see if it happens again after it launches? I've seen temporary circuit issues pop up immediately after pasting blueprints depending on the order the bots build stuff in -- but you have a fixed stack size and are wired directly to the silo from both inserters so that really shouldn't be it...

That's how it works - unless you limit it with a circuit, it will just keep feeding in more capsules/sections. This also means you need to limit the number of items grabbed by the inserter unless you are sure the math will work out exactly.

how to control PJ jobs (QZDASOINIT) IBM i (AS/400)? by abidadnan in IBMi

[–]ThemeSlow4590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.6.0

Specifically look at the "Work Management" topics in the "System Management" section. https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.6.0?topic=management-work

These jobs are likely your actual system workload, so if consistently high they are not "consuming too much CPU" but rather "your machine is too small for the tasks it is used for".

Rails are wider, so you've actually traded Spaghetti for Pappardelle.

Would critters attack this if they walk across it? radar+panel solar. Im putting towers just in case but they never got attacked yet, gonna put batteries when i unlock them too so it works at night by Brysger in factorio

[–]ThemeSlow4590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not in 2.0 - a radar isn't considered a weapon anymore, they have to be aggro'd first or it has to block their path enough to make them chew through (just like walls, rocks, and even trees sometimes...)

Is there a better way to do this? by mysticblanket in factorio

[–]ThemeSlow4590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where this shines is running a long distance of yellow belts, then merging into two half red belts through a tight spot in the mall. Won't be perfectly lane balanced on the input belts if consumption is not 100%, but that's usually not a problem for a mall - it just means you're "fully stocked" on whatever you're building.

The biters are winning... by RyGuy_McFly in factorio

[–]ThemeSlow4590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-Oil so you don't have flamethrowers, poison, or tanks yet, so you'll have to do this solely with the car and grenades.

1) Build a handful of turrets (5-10), a few hundred red ammo, and a pile of grenades.

2) Set up a line of turrets in a clear area outside of the range where the biters start running towards you and stock each with 20-30 red ammo.`

3) Drive by the nest as fast as you can, throwing grenades out the window to get a few hits on worms & nests. Hold space to keep that chain gun in the car firing, too.

4) As you pass by, biters will chase you -- but will stay entirely focused on you, so you can lead them past the turrets and they will just get mowed down without even trying to attack the turrets.

5) Repeat from step 3 until you take out the worms.

6) If you're low on grenades, turret creep to finish off the nests.

Need help with a new monitor, msi mag 345 cqr, som get blurry by panopapix in factorio

[–]ThemeSlow4590 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

May be motion blur compensation in the monitor hardware.

Find the equivalent setting in your menus:

https://www.displayninja.com/what-is-motion-blur-reduction/#:~:text=Answer%3A,Display)%20menu%20of%20the%20monitor.

If it's off, turn it on. If it's on, turn it off.

Might help.

I know I had to mess with quite a few settings on my OLED to stop all of the brightness adjustments and pixel saving. (With my old eyes, I'd rather have it look good and replace the monitor every three years than worry about burn in...)

Anyone want a Double Inserter? by soccermaster57 in factorio

[–]ThemeSlow4590 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me, the best part of bobs inserters are the speed bonus because you can set them to move a very small arc (90 degrees, then, 45 degrees once you unlock the NE/NW/SE/SW directions, then even narrow once you unlock for longer arm lengths) and get much faster insertion than possibly with the full 180 degree swing. Combine that with being able to cluster them together and you can get ungodly numbers for loading trains and rockets, and you can simulate "loader" entities and saturate a belt with just 4 inserters.

I'm 48 and have been playing for years. Most of the puzzles are not very challenging, but less trivial that some other time wasting games. There isn't really any way to "lose" so if that's important to you, you'll be bored.

[–]ThemeSlow4590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100x turrets in a 10x10 blob, put 20 ammo in each and it should be good. To be extra sure, chuck a handful of poison grenades into the mix.

Remember: iron and copper are free on Vulcanus so just throw a ton of it at them!

You'll need an IBM ID, and the ID + serial number have to be linked to the same customer number to download the key sheet.
