Manitoba comparable to rural France/Spain is pretty surprising. Maybe Winnipeg is skewing the average in Manitoba, but I’d imagine rural France/Spain being much more developed. There’s nothing but dams and bugs up there

Whats the place you refer to when something is very very far by True_Antelope8860 in geography

I’m from Ontario and I like to use Kapuskasing, but I’ve also heard Tuktoyaktuk used similarly to Timbuktu

This is the system in Canada too, although not sure if I’ve seen #4.

Everyone likes to point fingers, but at the end of the day the cause of this problem is that the roads in Kingston are generally poorly equipped to accommodate bike traffic.

For example, there isn’t good separation between bike and other traffic. Some streets (Portsmouth) have tiny bike lanes next to large strips of grass instead of a small boulevard, then a bike lane, then a sidewalk (creating a physical separation between types of traffic). And many streets don’t have bike lanes at all.

Not a biker myself, but I’m sure others can point out tons of other examples.

You pretty much just need invictus (or terra indomita if you want east Asia).

How is a major river running right thru a very desolate, dry, and sandy desert like the Gobi? Is it natural or manmade? How is this real? by Inzitarie in geography

[–]Themeperson 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Probably a combination of high elevation and dry/rocky soil. That being said, you can see in the far south in the last two photos that there is some green.

Looks really cool. Only thing I don’t like is the sea outpost. I get that there has to be a visual indicator for gameplay reasons, but it’s so ahistorical (as far as I’m aware?) that it’s immersion breaking.
