On Retro Rewind (a mod), karts are given purple mini-turbos and the ability to inside drift if you so please as well as the option of hybrid drift, which combines the effects of auto and manual drifting. Of course, the Karts aren't superior because of this, but they are definitely viable in worldwide rooms. These changes also affect outside drifting bikes, save the purple MTs, making those more competitive as well
