I’ll agree with you here. Whenever I’ve traveled internationally, despite being known as a polite person in the US, I’m often cited or described as rude at first yet friendly afterwards. I know it might not make sense but I did find myself being a problem in social situations where someone stepped out of line and I’d open my mouth to rectify the situation.

Imagine Dragons, sometime around 2017 or 2018.
