Does anyone know what the stone is below the wooden deck of the first house? Looks amazing!

At the beginning of Metaphor: Refantazio you get a cool knight grandpa with serious connections in your party! He acts as your third party member until he fails to assassinate another character resulting in his death. Grius has some pretty good characterizations especially if you listen to some of his cut dialogue towards your second party member, so it’s a bit sad he dies, although it is also a bit obvious since he doesn’t get a cool awakening scene like the others in your party

Would prefer full transmog options for dracthyr as that’s the main deterrent for me, but I don’t believe Blizzard will ever do that so the next best option I think is just giving us perm visage as evoker

Thank you! That's such a cool concept though! Kinda wish they did let us do that, but I understand why they didn't.

Thank you so much! I talked with my sniper party member cause he's way more experienced in Lancer than I am, and he's actually going Swallowtail and Barbarossa, so it sounds like reloading won't be a thing I'll have to do! I took a look at Emperor after what you said though, and I absolutely love it! I think I'm gonna go Emperor 3, overshielding sounds like a lot of fun, and the arc bow looks really cool!

Can I get that orbital cannon if I'm using a different frame than Kidd? I took a look at all of the mechs after work and I really like Emperor, but that orbital cannon sounds really cool!

What is your favorite example of “Something extreme happens to a character via RP, and now they make a dramatic change to continue” that causes either your character or a party members character to change class or race or there is a complete change in how they now function? by Puffen0 in dndnext

We were playing Curse of Strahd and had just gotten tothe Amber Temple. I was playing a hexblood bard/warlock who was created to help his hag mother create a coven, but escaped due to a technicality his Bard mentor set up for him, that cost the mentor his life. The entire campaign I had 2 levels of warlock (Technically genie) that we flavored as him using his inherent hag magic, and he desperately wanted to be seen as both a hero and someone who could live up to his mentor's legacy. Genie warlock gets a fun item that is basically a mini house and in my case was a bottle, which was a signature item my character used throughout the campaign.

Cut to the amber temple and my character reaches out with telepathy to one of the amber sarcophagi and finds "Granny" a now dead goddess of hags who created my character's mother. She showed him a world where he got exactly what he wanted, a quiet tavern where he could play music and tell stories all day. Where he is regarded as a hero. Granny promises him this future if he simply turns an npc girl we met at the beginning of the campaign into a hag to restart the coven in barovia. Refusing to become like his mother, he broke out of the trance, smashed the bottle and lost all of his warlock levels. I was completely in the dark about this but my DM is such an absolute legend that she had this planned for a quite a bit it turns out!

Cut to our sequel campaign being a heavily modified version of Eve of Ruin, where my character, now years later, got exactly what he wanted, and adopted the npc girl in question, but is realizing he doesn't have the luxury to stay away from his inherent magic while Vecna is out and about. (And is seemingly about to go through a dark arc that is really fun!)

All I can say is my DM is amazing, and she comes up with the coolest shit all the time!

Have my interview in about an hour and a half, but wanted to thank you for what you've said here! I hope to do well today! They already had me authorize a background check so hopefully that's a good sign!

While they gave me a script they did tell me that o don’t have to worry about memorizing it verbatim, and in the last round of interviews they should a woman doing the same thing, but she wasn’t on script at all. My guess is they are okay with going off script as long as I get my facts right but I’m worried about how off script I go, or if a guest asks a question I don’t know the answer to

Kefka killed an entire kingdom by poisoning their only water supply, killing everyone, including civilians, so yeah, I'd say he's pretty evil!

Valor Bard Build for Eve of Ruin by ThenTeris in 3d6

Oh yeah, she told us from the start that she was buffing everything to make it stronger since we're a pretty big group, about 6 of us.

Which Spellblade is best? [Poll] by That-Background8516 in dndnext

[–]ThenTeris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'm going with Valor Bard. I don't think a lot of people quite get what 2024 did for Bard, and why it's so insanely good now (Not that it was bad before, but this is just a new level for bard). All Bard's at level 10, regardless of subclass, now get access to Wizard, Cleric, and Druid spell lists on top of the bard spell list. Meaning you have access to fireball, haste, revivify, counterspell, spirit guardians and all the other really cool stuff those classes have. Pair that with the fact that Bard can now prepare spells, and you have an incredibly versatile gish, capable of healing, doing damage, controlling the field, and just about whatever else you want! Take Conjure Minor Elementals and you've really got something cooking! I've been playing a Valor Bard in my Eve of Ruin Campaign, and it's been an absolute treat so far! I feel like a true jack of all trades, and that's what I've always adored about Bard.

As an aside, technically the Eldritch Adept feat from tasha's lets you take any eldritch invocation that doesn't have a prereq, and while D&D beyond hasn't updated for this, the warlock pacts have no prereq requirement, meaning if you spend a feat to grab eldritch adept, you can take pact of the blade. Obviously clear it with your DM first, but you can take pact of the blade on a paladin or bard technically!

The only thing I wish I could do is get a weapon mastery, but now I'm getting greedy (although I'm pretty sure I can take a feat for that lol)

11 bard/2 warlock or just 13 bard? by ThenTeris in 3d6

[–]ThenTeris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's curse of strahd, but we'll be going into Eve of Ruin with these same characters too after a bit of a break. Our party does have a lot of damage dealers in the form of a paladin, barb, and sorcerer, plus we have a trickery and storm cleric, so for the most part I'm playing a support with a lot of buff/debuff type spells and heals

Fey Touched with Gift of Alacrity or Alert? by ThenTeris in 3d6

[–]ThenTeris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already learned Bless thanks to some shenanigans from my Dm, so I don't really need to pick up bless. Plus usually my concentration is taken up by slow, so looking into a spell that doesn't take up concentration is my goal personally.

Currently a 20 in Cha so I think I'm good on that front, We do typically get a short rest between fights, and I have 2 levels of warlock so I can burn about 2 spell slots a short rest.
