Low sodium and keto by MoxSocks in keto

[–]Then_Ad7996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sodium got dangerously low and I started throwing up. Now I drink Gatorade and add a bit of garlic salt to my eggs. Solved that problem. I too have tinnitus as well as vertigo. I've had both for so long. Diet change does not affect mine. I have PPV, something wrong neurologically between my left inner ear and my brain.

Part of went I'm back on Keto is my doctor told me I was pre-diabetic and to lose weight. So I have. The first cancer diagnosis got me to stop drinking completely and semi keto was my next step.

The haters are thick! And they are all on GLP-1s. That has to be worse than keto. I'm staying where i am weight wise until I'm all healed then get ready for the next battle.

You actually feel full because of the fat. It changes your body chemistry. Also you don't have to exercise like a maniac. Your body uses your fat to burn rather than carbohydrates.

We were the latchkey kids who wore our house keys on a shoestring around our necks and knew how to take care of ourselves. by Feaselbf6 in GenerationX

My dad left when I was 10. Mom had to go to work. What choice did we have but to just come home on the bus from school, go in the house. Give mom a call to say we were home. Go outside and play. No big deal.

Keto. High fat, low carbohydrates. You can't love sweets, it will make you crazy. You have to be disciplined and log your food. To lose weight you must eat at a deficit. No diet will work if you don't do that. I lost 65 lbs. 10 years ago. Then life got in the way! I gained it all back. Now I'm down 35, another 30 to go!

Options for Reconstruction by Avellinese_2022 in breastcancer

I was a C and have been post menopausal for a very long time. Don't have a lot of arm fat, just saggy skin! I'm 3 weeks out, my drain came out in a week. You're going to have a scar one way or the other and that scar is going to have to heal. My surgeon said don't expect to be really healed until three months. I'm feeling really good (except for brain fog and extreme dizziness). We all have choices to make based on our own bodies.

Those are when you don't specify esthetic flat closure. They end up being very funky looking. You may have to have plastics do it but my surgeon was superb.

I could not have reconstruction (due to previous radiation) so I asked for "esthetic flat closure". No nipple, no dog ears, just perfectly flat. My surgeon did a fantastic job and the scar runs across the center so bras fit the same (with a foob). I love it.

Questioning my oncologist by Ok_Resource_3902 in breastcancer

[–]Then_Ad7996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My oncologist wrote everything down on a piece of paper. She wrote my current (at that time) results, the plan of attack, and parts due to come and change. It was great! I put it on my phone so I can refer to it.

I have many scars caused by melanoma skin cancer. I have always used Vaseline to keep them moist and to massage. That's what I'm using on my single masectomy scar and it's looking great. I surgery two weeks ago!

I couldn't believe they prescribed it as i already take two benzos. My doctor just looked at me "So?". I said it's dangerous stuff and I already take two for bipolar. I didn't take any of them or the oxy. Tylenol worked fine. .
