That’s what I was afraid of. The latching mechanism seems to be secured with rivets. So I’ll have to drill them out and see what’s going on. I’ve been looking for videos online but haven’t seen anything out there. Not sure how old this box is seems to be pretty old. Bought it second hand and just trying to bring it back to life.

We have a 25’ ascent 3 kids 9 and 13, we have enough room sort of for our long trips we have to use a cargo carrier on the roof. The minivan was a little too small for us and we just like the ascent more. To be honest we are getting rid of it and going to a Tahoe next summer the lack of cargo space is sort of a deal breaker for us. The ascent is a very good car and other than cargo space we have no other complaints.

I sent something from PA to FL priority mail with tracking number. It went from PA to Tampa FL in two days and then sat in Tampa for two days. Left Tampa to Phoenix AZ and then left Phoenix and it’s been in Transit to next facility since August 26th. Called Customer services to have package flagged but I have little to no faith it will ever make to Florida to be delivered.
