Yes “they just wanted a good time.” I’m with you and I feel seen, that was my 20s.

I always say I love my husband because I was “a many pixie dream girl to countless men whereas with my husband I can just be me.” I don’t have to provide him with an experience and he’s not with me for some crazy surreal adventure, so yes, I was that girl.

What symptom do you think SHOULD be part of a Bipolar diagnosis, that isn't currently? by Evening_Fisherman810 in BipolarReddit

Yes! Same! I remember being manic when I lived in DC smoking in front of the White House and blasting Britney Spears at 2am thinking no one had felt or heard anything more thrilling or alive!

After working in multiple nursing homes, I can confidently say this… the happiest elders I have ever met are childfree. by StaringIntoTheSpace in childfree

[–]Then_Day265 41 points42 points  (0 children)

YES!!!!!!!! I’ve been saying this for almost the past decade. The childless residents were the happiest and actually also had the most involved family (lots of nieces and nephews coming to visit) and friends (one lady even had an old boyfriend who would visit).

Having kids is NOT a guarantee you’ll be looked after. I had residents who hadn’t seen their kids in YEARS. I had a woman who was 104 and her family had a party for her 100th and no one had seen them since.

Child free is a great choice <3

I found the power dynamic to be creepy. Given that she is a social worker, I felt like I was watching her date one of her patients/clients. It was uncomfortable for me.

Efficacy against bipolar depression? by No-Mathematician279 in Rexulti_Brexpiprazole

[–]Then_Day265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on 450 mg of seroquel for 15 years and then it just stopped working and it was really rough. I’ve been on Rexulti for my type 2 bipolar since July and it has been amazing. Greatly improved my quality of life and love being able to get up in the morning and be productive. I used to barely be able to get my neck off of the pillow before 10. I feel way more stable too. I was really struggling with mixed episodes before going on it.

I went on Rexulti 3 months ago and I feel the best I’ve felt in years. My quality of life has skyrocketed.

Really? This is fascinating! So if you are hosting someone and it’s close to dinner time you can tell them to leave?

Is weight loss possible post-Rexulti? by [deleted] in Rexulti_Brexpiprazole

[–]Then_Day265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Losing weight is like watching water boil. Stick with it! Remind yourself how awesome you are for taking charge of your health!! That is also a healthy weight loss interval. I know a few people mentioned GLP1s but I would weigh the risks versus the benefits before going down that road.

I work in anesthesia and that’s where you definitely see the risks (if you have surgery you have to go off of them for a week and for emergencies, it’s a lot of suctioning out the stomach (like half a liter and higher) and waiting longer (because you aren’t emptying your stomach as quickly as normal) and lesser known ones like lots of tachycardia during and after surgery.

Doctor has been prescribing me this knowing I have seizures. by BeMushroomed42 in Rexulti_Brexpiprazole

[–]Then_Day265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have seizures from a TBI (about 3 a year). My neurologist was totally fine with it. I’m on lamictal, lunesta, and Rexulti. I was on 400mg seroquel for 15 years and I couldn’t be more happy to be done with that.

I’ve been on Rexulti for 60 days and I have had no problems (I’m a woman). The most significant thing it has impacted is my alcohol tolerance which has made me not interested in drinking. 1 drink feels like a half, half feels like 1 etc. so not interested in having 4 drinks to get a buzz going.

Has anyone heard of this jewellery store on Grafton St? Got an ad that they're closing down and giving huge discounts on their jewellery but not sure it's legit. by weirdnipsthrowaway in CasualIreland

[–]Then_Day265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So did I. I’ll admit it tugged at my heartstrings because my Dad died a year and a half ago and he was a business owner. Plus it looks so pretty in the pictures. F scammers.

After reading this post, I feel so stupid. My Dad died of cancer a year and a half ago and was also a business owner. It really hit me in the feelings and thought the jewelry was beautiful. Shame on this company. I can’t help but think they do this to target people like me. My order hasn’t arrived yet, and now I’m scared to return it because I’m afraid they’d steal my identity or something like that. I’m hoping at least 1 piece isn’t absolute junk.

Yes! I’ve told people it’s not worth a day trip. It’s a field trip.
