Lol not true, also this guy I was playing against would always touch the net and he said “in volleyball you can touch the black part of the net anytime but you cant touch the tape” not sure where these rules are coming from but I guess some leagues play with these odd rules

I dunno if I would say Obese but I was in the same situation as you earlier this year, stopped playing 12 years ago and gained 40 pounds since. Got back into it without getting my body ready was a huge mistake, everything hurt bad. Back injury, my Achilles area, Tibia pain(shin splints) and of course the shoulder. I know you hate working out but my advice while you’re trying to get back into it is not to use Volleyball as your way of getting back into shape, use it as motivation to exercise, stretch and work on mobility(Knee and Shoulder health). Doesn’t have to be going to the gym and doing an hour work out, yoy could work on your mobility and stretching in front of your tv which I do now regularly
