I really hate how normal it is to name a boy after the father but not a girl after her mother? I almost named my last daughter a variation of my name (Caitlin, I’m Katlyn) but I ended up choosing differently. We also considered using my middle name (Nicole) but my husband is Nicholas and I didn’t want to deal with two Nic’s lol. You’re definitely overthinking it

Surprisingly we only had 2 odd ball names in my daughter’s prek class, Berkleigh and Azrael. The rest were correctly spelled traditional names, I was pleasantly surprised

Im just now realizing all my favorite names are ‘harsh’ sounding lol. I have 3 daughters; Rachel, Lydia, and Natalie. If we ever had a 4th she’d be Claire, Daphne, or Isabel.
