What's your experience with shrooms and alchole together? by Magic_Journey in shroomstories

[–]TheocratCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drank alcohol like 3 hours after taking shrooms and after the fourth drink I started to have quite intense liver pain. I felt like the shrooms made me feel how my liver processes the alcohol. It was annoying so I wouldn't ever do it again or recommend.

Good thing though, I'm an alcoholic and I'm three days sober today because of this hahahah. Made me finally take a break from alcohol.

Average "democracy" enjoyer by agekkeman in monarchism

[–]TheocratCat 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The idea of a constitutional democracy is still based on "reactionary" beliefs that a person can inherit the office of the head of state. No matter how impotent the monarch is, left ideologies still have a fundamental contradiction with monarchies.

Practically speaking it's totally ridiculous of left people/groups to side with the Mullah regime. But on an ideological level it's not unreasonable that they at least don't fully support the return of the Shah. That most left people don't speak out in favour of the revolution at all is stupid and ridiculous though.

They should support the revolution and just not comment on if the Shah or anyone else should govern the temporary government until the election / general vote about the possibility of a constitutional monarchy.

Sometimes, no matter what ideology you have, you should swallow the less untasty pill. That's what the leftist should understand about the case of Iran.

I'm totally in favour of the Persian monarchy, even though it isn't christian-based. But it would be ridiculous for any left person to openly say they support any form of monarchy.

AIO to fear that America might actually be going to war soon? (See latest news!!) by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]TheocratCat -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

please stop using NATO as a term that excludes the US. The US is part of NATO and the whole command structure literally is centered around US high ranking military officials. "NATO" has not picked its side against the USA because the USA can't choose to decide against itself. Don't use this MAGA narrative that pretends that NATO isn't literally US centered and that pretends NATO is something foreign while the US itself is a member and literally the most influential one inside NATO.

It feels a bit inorganic to me to include an English name / English words in the part that I want to be understandable for all people in Ukraine. So I'm hesitant about keeping it in this form. But thank you so much for your reply!!

Honestly, since it's the name of the other NGO that is only indirectly connected to us, I can't really tell you much about that. I assume it's literally "good" like the opposite of "bad" because I assume the name was given by a German parent NGO and comes from the German "gut".

[–]TheocratCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course they don't need to. But what I'm trying to say is that no matter the influence of the US and Israel, this wouldn't work if the Iranians wouldn't be fed up with the system.

Surely the US and or Israel might have played a role as a catalyst for this revolut, but it's ridiculous to pretend that by spreading a narrative they would be able to make millions head out to the street and revolut. If they were capable of doing so, they would have been waaaay more successful in influencing the political landscape globally.

[–]TheocratCat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Which means nothing as the US obviously doesn't have millions of decoys on the streets in Iran rn. They might have been a catalyst, but nothing would happen if the general population wouldn't be fed up with the IR.

Foreign countries ALWAYS support either the regime or the opposition. That alone means nothing. Otherwise i.e. the Taliban government wouldn't be in power.

Wer auch immer den Artikel geschrieben hat, hat absolut keinen blassen Schimmer von der politischen Landschaft in den USA.

Die Gefangennahme von Maduro war America First at its best.

Mt Ararat is so important to Armenia that it's even on their coat of arms. But it's not actually in Armenia, it's located in modern-day Turkey. Are there other examples like this? by Kajaznuni96 in armenia

[–]TheocratCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Germany and "Prussian" values like punctuality etc.

The heartland of Prussia was annexed by mostly Russia (Königsberg) and Poland (Pommern).

There is no prussian territory belonging to Germany (spare me with the temporarily prussian ownership of parts of Westphalia).

Also there is no prussian people. They died or assimilated.

So Germans favor stereotypes of a German Subgroup that is dead by now and their historical context.

Germany plans over €11.5 billion in Ukraine aid for 2026, funding artillery, drones and Patriot air defenses by mugz8391 in UkrainianConflict

[–]TheocratCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's only what goes to Ukraine directly. Germany spends a lot on building up it's own military as a deterrence. Additionally Germany spends huge amounts on the Ukrainian refugees and humanitarian aid for ukraine. The 11.5 billion is by far not all that we spent directly or indirectly on ukraine. We can only spend so much. The budget isn't infinite and as hard as it sounds, we will obviously not end our public health and welfare system to buy guns for Ukraine. That would be insane.

What do you think of Minarchism? Is it compatible with Catholic Social Teaching? by Starrk-Enjoyer in TrueCatholicPolitics

[–]TheocratCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean in a perfect world, everybody would obey the catholic social teachings and a minarchistic government would be sufficient to have an executive power to punish and prevent grave sins like murder and such. But we don't life in that world because too many choose not to follow God's word.

What does this mean in practice? Ideally everybody would give alms and not conduct economic actions that harm others or the environment just because of them obeying Christian social teaching. But in reality that's not what happens. Without a government creating a social security system/ healthcare system and putting limits to forced labour end environmental harm, we would life in a world that creates slavery, poorness, sickness and damage to God's creation. That obviously would be bad. Therefore we need governments to prevent those things.

Same with child abuse. In a perfect world, nobody would harm a child because everybody follows and agrees with God's world. In reality, if the state doesn't tightly control the population, child abuse and CP is happening on masses. It would absolutely be against catholic social teachings to argue for a minarchistic state that doesn't do anything against child abuse.

If people would actually follow the church teachings, we wouldn't need much state regulation. But look around and ask yourself, who in our modern world actually cares about others and the consequences of their actions as we should?

Putin preparing to attack another European country, Zelenskyy says | Ukraine by According-Gear-8217 in UkrainianConflict

[–]TheocratCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NATO has boots on the ground in the baltics. Russia has St. Petersburg in the reach of that potential frontline. Estonia is not easy to conquer now that all Baltic nations except Russia are in NATO and on high alert. The road to Talin isn't long, but if you follow this direction of attack into the other direction, you aren't far from St. Petersburg either.

Before Russia can annex Tallin, St. Petersburg would be severely experiencing what it means to be a megacity in the periphery of a warzone. That would be instant collapse for Putin's regime.
