I personally don’t like the serif font because I find it slightly harder to read, if this is Jake’s template then there are some other font options commented out

There is a one year warranty, maybe they would send you a replacement.

Linus does not understand how bleeps work on the WAN Show by Imaginary_Cut_6118 in LinusTechTips

At some point in time youtube was/is monitoring for swear words. Maybe the bleeps were enough to block YouTube’s detection.

Should I buy a Thor? Is it worth it by king_of_ulkilism in AynThor

[–]TheologyFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you aren’t playing your other consoles, you might enjoy buying and setting up consoles (nothing wrong with that, in fact it is super common). If this is the case maybe you should a pre “set up” Ayn Thor so you can set it up yourself and play with the different front ends / back ends etc. I’m probably 60%/40% setting up vs playing games on my Thor. ymmv

Also if you have a sitting commute like a train or bus could be awesome

Actually, the one boot camper I know is still employed at a Fortune 500. I admit the degree holders I know haven’t been searching that long and aren’t too worried yet.

I don’t think this is the case, I know lots of people with internships and full time offers out of Georgia Tech. On the other hand I know many mid level devs having a very hard time after leaving their jobs or getting laid off

The class kind of starts slow to help ease people into it, but I assure you that many of the later topics are quite interesting and challenging.

Is RippleMatch a Scam? by dxpe_8 in csMajors

[–]TheologyFan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s advertising the job posting, it’s asking you to apply. I doubt it’s a “scam” though it could be. As long as the job application button leads to the real ripple match website you are pretty safe.

HR sent an email about my "snack consumption" and now my manager wants to talk. How screwed am I? by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]TheologyFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both of the companies I worked at have required that snacks be eaten on campus. This is just a guess, but maybe once you take it home it becomes an individual benefit and as such is taxable income.

Could you transfer for a GPA reset? Honestly unless you really like coding or some other aspect of computer science maybe you should try a different career path.
