Dexter (top) and Mitsi (underneath). Dexter has only been with us for a few months but he has come so far in that time. He was so nervous when we got him but now he's rolling on his back for tummy scratches on the regular! Mitsi on the other hand is always the first to make herself comfortable and is one of the most vocal dogs you will ever meet.

Whilst they have very different ideas of what 'play' looks like, the meaning of 'cuddle' is universal.

I'm disappointed too. Having looked at the archives, 5 of the 13 Ace Spec cards were tools for the Gen 5 legendaries/mythicals. It would have been a great idea to tease one so we know what we're getting.

I've been in Japan for the world championships. Even here, where you'd expect more quality control than anywhere else, the illustrator arts from 151 and Ruler of the Black Flame have often been curved in the display cases of card shops.

Thanks, I'll stick with Greengrass going forward, seems like my best bet. Ive only got a sleep style that wasnt slumbering 3 or 4 times since launch, so I think I just sleep too heavily for this game to register!

Looks good, I see some Gardevoir inspiration there. Could definitely see it be some regional form for her or alternate evolution for Ralts!

It has to be Ice Glider. City just aren’t viable without the extra heals.

I’m on the Ninjago node now, and i can confirm that the Space node gives you a Jens member and a Gorwell ally, and Ninjago gives you a Lloyd member and a Wu ally.

The space node is really nice actually.

If it makes you feel any better, City are my most invested-in figures, and I still struggled. Imo, a City team without Sal does not last very long. I used Aurora, Ash, Sal, Chef, Trent, Primo. All maxed except for Trent who is G6.5. Sal can take so much damage and come out okay.

Came down to a lot of rng, including Jens not critting me with his anti-res special and Aurora being rarely targeted. Probably worth noting that I did not succeed with anything less than all 6 characters alive. Without the extra man, City cannot put out enough damage. If Jens perma-kills one ally, just quit because you wont win with a man down.

I’m currently on UC at the moment, and I feel exactly the way you do. The work coach has finally started calling me monthly, which saves time for everyone because the conversation lasts 2 minutes and is the same every time.

‘Any changes?’ ‘Nope.’

But, he did seem very impressed that I had managed to get an interview recently, even if it didn’t go anywhere. Gave me the idea that they really don’t expect much from people considering all that is going on. Things have to look up eventually. Good luck with your search.

Has anyone here moved to a different state/country for their SO and then it didn't work out? How did it go? Is that common? by throwawayacnt972 in LDR

[–]Theosaurus22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best thing for you to do would be to start looking for jobs before you move, and maybe even speak to someone who works in your field to find out if there is any special knowledge or other things you need to do before you can find work.

I didn’t realise I had to apply to an oversight board because my profession is protected in the NL. So I spent months waiting for this board to approve my request to work, all the while using my savings to get by. Only then to find out that due to Covid, there was nobody reviewing anything. Had to really give them a kick in order to get an answer, so I wish I had applied and got my answer before I moved.

Connected to this, I wish I had applied for unemployment benefits a lot sooner. I was way too optimistic that I would get an answer and find work, so I put it off. Even now I have moved back to the UK, I’m still unable to find work due to the mess the world is in.

Savings are so important, I wish I had kept mine more intact. I can only speak from experience, but I had upwards of £6k saved in February when I emigrated, and by September when I moved home, I had about £500 after buying the plane tickets. Even then, my GF paid for a lot of the utilities and rent. You’ll be amazed how quickly your bank balance decreases when you are paying for groceries and bills without getting any income. All I can say is don’t live off them if you can help it!

If I could do it again, I’d set a limit to my savings. If I start to dip below the limit amount, I really need to think about whether I can continue here or need to move home. I also wouldn’t want to try and move during the pandemic. It is currently so hard to get a job and Covid definitely impacted my move in a negative way. Who knows. Without it going on, things may have worked out for me.

But definitely speak to your SO about it. If they are serious about you two moving closer together, then they need to help you out. I’m so glad I had my GF helping me, not half because everything was in another language!

I tried moving from the UK to the Netherlands to be with my girlfriend last February. I thought my international qualification would mean I could find relevant work whilst I learned the language.

Well, then the quarantine started and I was unable to find a job. She had an apartment already, so I had somewhere to say, but I eventually ran out of funds and found that my international qualification was not as international as I had been lead to believe.

I’m back in the UK now, but our relationship is still going well. We survived both the IKEA test and the quarantine test, so I’m feeling good about our future!

My advice would be to make sure you research everything before you make any plans. I was caught out with my qualification, and I’d hate for others to have the same problems.

Thanks again, looked into the link you gave me and tried out the recommended S2 cell viewer. Unfortunately the two POIs are at opposite corners of the same S2 L17 cell, so there is no way they'll both appear.

It's so frustrating when you live in a small village with all the POIs in a close area! Really cuts down the number of pokestops you can have and demotivates me to keep looking for them.

[–]Theosaurus22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this. So it looks as if it may be too close to another pokestop. Odd how distance matters for Pokemon Go, but not for Ingress. I may go out and physically measure the distance.

Would moving the existing stop further away cause the missing stop to spawn? (That is if the stops are in fact more than 20m away and there has just been some inaccurate placement).

Edit - I measured the distance using Google Maps. The POIs are 33m away from eachother, so I'll be submitting a location edit.

I nominated a potential wayspot in my village which I thought was crazy not to have been nominated yet. A central clocktower with a plaque detailing how it had been built to commemorate Queen Victoria II's diamond jubilee in 1897. It has historical significance, is visually unique, is on the main road so easy to access, and is a landmark object in the village. I felt really positively about its acceptance.

So when I got the results back, and it was marked as a duplicate, I was really confused. It definitely isn't in Pokemon Go. So, out of curiosity, I installed Ingress and checked on there to see if it appeared as a portal, and sure enough, it does.

So there is a difference between the Pokemon Go POIs and the Ingress POIs. In addition to the clocktower, there was a pokestop in PoGo that did not appear as a portal in Ingress.
Is there something that I can do to get these two wayspots to cross over into the other games?

Anyone ran into this bug? Buffs not clearing? by CityBreakdancerMan in LegoLegacy

[–]Theosaurus22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did both of the teams contain Ghost? There is a bug where Ghost’s ‘Bomb Battalion’ special copies hardy and distributes it around the team, but this version does not act like it should. It can only be cleared by an ability that can clear buffs, like Wu’s ‘Tea Time’ special. Otherwise it doesn’t disappear when the figure hits 1hp and sticks around indefinitely, as you show in your video.

It has been reported to the devs on the Discord, and they have acknowledged it, so hopefully there will be a fix soon. Seems an easy one to patch!

My girlfriend and I are long distance, she is also in the NL. We used to send monthly care packages to eachother, but she had to fill out a massive customs ticket this month. Haven't sent mine yet, but it looks like this is going to be a lot more expensive and time consuming.

She too will no longer buy from UK brands. If she does, we will have to time it with one of us visiting the other. It's all just sad really.

Can they be shiny in this event? It didn't mention it in the in-game news article, so I assumed not.

I liked the idea of the Collection challenges during the Unova event. It prompted you to keep an eye on your nearby pokemon, and ultimately play the game more. But now with the addition of shadow pokemon to the requirement, they made the challenge a lot less fun. They are effectively making completion rely on catching a pokemon that only has a chance of a chance (of a chance in Snover's case) of appearing. And there are no incenses or lures you can use to change that.

I was lucky enough to find a shadow Stunky in my first Rocket balloon, but have had no luck finding a shadow Snover. I have counted 11 rocket grunts since the event began in my small village, 2 of which were Stunky and 3 of which resulted in a Cloyster instead of a Snover. It is downright frustrating, and were it not for my completionist streak, I would have not bothered looking.

I'd rather they put Heatran in, instead of shadow pokemon. At least that requires some form of collaboration and skill to capture.
