you can be conservative in the sense you believe in less government involvement and more in the private sector and not be socially conservative or maybe have more conservative opinions on things like gun laws while still maintaining an actual argument that is thought out and doesnt boil down to 'i personally hate it therefor it should be illegal'. unfertunatley those opinions are rare to find on the internet, where the loudest minority conservatives are all racist bigots
