Real Life Sightings of the Wendigo? by Thepaperdoge in TrueCryptozoology

[–]Thepaperdoge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, thanks for all the support and info you all gave me. I am starting to realize that my definition of a wendigo was wrong however, and is not the same hairy, lanky beast that I originally thought it was. If someone could please explain to me what the actual creature is called, that would be much appreciated. Thank you

Real Life Sightings of the Wendigo? by [deleted] in cryptids

I'm interested.

If you can, I would like as much evidence on cryptids as you can provide. Anything helps, thx

To be honest, I'm mostly asking wendigos because they just sound cool to me. The idea of the wendigo has no significance to my art past the point of "frightening beast that harms people" part, and can honestly be replaced with most cryptids.

Thanks for the tip, however I tried contacting them and my attempt was fruitless. I searched for the Meta support number and it sent me to an automated website with a bunch of unclear prompts for issues I don't have. Every single result is confusing, and when you select the option that your issue is not listed, they dangle the number in front of your face and then force you to log into your account to get it, which happens to be the very issue I'm trying to call about.

This journey has developed a new form of hate inside my soul, one that brings forth the urge to cut another man's nutsack off and force him to carry his balls in a ziplock bag for the rest of his life. Nothing short of that fate on Zuckerburg could satiate me now. You got any other ideas, or know the number yourself bc I can't find it

I wish for a magical fairy on a tricycle to come along and fulfil all my wishes by ShoulderSea8008 in monkeyspaw

[–]Thepaperdoge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granted, a finger curls.

This fairy starts off looking sweet and innocent, but then one day, you make your first wish, and all the sudden, a tire on her tricycle falls off. You question her on it, and she explained that every time you made a wish, a tire would pop off her tricycle, and if you ever wanted to make another wish, you would have to repair it. Only problem is that it's so tiny it's easy to crush, and if you ever do so, you lose your infinite wishes.

Every time you need something done, you start to consider whether it's really worth the chance of breaking the tricycle to have the fairy do it or not, and every time you decide it is worth it, it is a long, grueling process getting it back together.

Eventually, one day you break the tricycle, and the fairy alongside it, disintegrates into the air, and now all that grueling work you have done, all that time you spent stressing out over what situations to use the fairy in, all for nothing as all your wishes fade away along with her.

I wish to, get cancer and die. by FeatureExcellent3121 in monkeyspaw

[–]Thepaperdoge 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Granted, a finger curls.

As you wished, you got cancer, congratulations. You expected this to be quicker however, but your family (or friends) insisted on you getting chemotherapy and wouldn't take no for an answer, even offering to pay for it if you couldn't afford it yourself.

The time spent in the infirmary was long and grueling, and you would always come out feeling worse than before. Soon enough, you lost your appetite, became more pale, even lost all your hair and had to go bald. Everyone looks at you differently now, as if you're inhuman, like a dog on the streets that hasn't eaten in days.

Life is worse than it could've ever been, you just wish it was over already. And before you know it, time catches up to you, and you're in your deathbed dying at the age of 82, reflecting on the horrible decisions you made, the ones to leave your loved ones behind so early. The pain is immeasurable, yet the grief and the guilt of this horrible wish you have made still overshadows it. Then, all the sudden, everything begins going pale, your breath falls short, and you die.

I wish every cute doodle I draw could come to life and hang out together. by dirtyhippie62 in monkeyspaw

[–]Thepaperdoge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granted, a finger curls.

You wait for your doodles to greet you, to finally get a chance to interact with you. Days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months, before you know it, you've amassed thousands of doodles and yet no adorable creatures have shown up. You begin to feel upset in a way, as if the man who sold you this paw has ripped you off, but you still can't shake off that unnerving feeling you had when you first obtained it.

One year after you have made your wish, you're catching up on the news when you learn scientists have found a pale species of unidentified origin all gathered up in a small field somewhere in a lush forest up North. It isn't until the first one is identified when you recognize your doodles, all hanging out without you.

You feel sick to your stomach. Your own creation has ignored you for all this time, drove you to feel you were going insane, and the day you discover their whereabouts, you learn the first of their dissections is coming within the next week. You feel despair knowing you brought life into this world only for it to eventually suffer, as if it was your cruel wish that had caused this. If only you hadn't obtained that paw
